Abstract

Dual System Structure (Dual System) has a high ability to bear the shear force on a combined system between the portal and the shear wall due to the interaction between the two. The interaction occurs because the two systems have different deflection behaviors. Due to lateral loads, the shear wall will behave flexural / bending mode, while the frame will deform in shear mode, thus, the shear force is borne by the frame at the top and the shear wall bears the shear force at the bottom. In the analysis of the structure of the Embarcadero Park building obtained a period of vibrating building structures in a row from Tx and Ty for the existing design is 4.4359 and 4.8937, second design is 5.4226 and 5.5831, third design is 5.7815 and 6.1820. Absorption of lateral forces by frames and walls in the x and y direction respectively for the existing structure is63.18%, 36.82% and 56.81%, 43.19%. Fisrt alternative design is 38.60%, 61.40% and 36.07%, 63.93%. Second alternative design is 74.29, 25.71% dan 92.02%, 7.98%. Struktur Sistem Ganda (Dual System) memiliki kemampuan yang tinggi dalam memikul gaya geser pada sistem gabungan antara portal dengan dinding geser disebabkan adanya interaksi antara keduanya. Interaksi tersebut terjadi karena kedua sistem tersebut mempunyai perilaku defleksi yang berbeda . Akibat beban lateral, dinding geser akan berperilaku flexural/bending mode, sedangkan frame akan berdeformasi dalam shear mode, dengan demikian, gaya geser dipikul oleh frame pada bagian atas dan dinding geser memikul gaya geser pada bagian bawah. Pada analisa struktur atas gedung Embarcadero Park didapatkan periode getar struktur gedung berturut-turut dari Tx dan Ty untuk desain eksisting sebesar 4.4359 dan 4.8937, desain alternative satu sebesar 5.4226 dan 5.5831, serta untuk desain alternative dua sebesar 5.7815 dan 6.1820. Penyerapan gaya lateral oleh frame dan wall berturut-turut arah x dan y untuk struktur eksisting sebesar 63.18%, 36.82% dan 56.81%, 43.19%. Untuk desain alternative satu sebesar 38.60%, 61.40% dan 36.07%, 63.93% dan desain alternative dua sebesar 74.29, 25.71% dan 92.02%, 7.98%.
