Abstract
This study about the Identification of the Roles and Functions of Public Relations in improving the image of Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ. The background of the problem is the trend in this era that there are many restaurants have the concept of all you can eat, thus it requires more effort in improving the image of Gyu-Kaku Indonesia, in order to meet the expectations. The purpose of this study is to explain the roles and functions of Public Relations in improving the image of Gyu-Kaku Pondok Indah Mall 2. This study uses descriptive qualitative research types with theories used in Communication, Public Relations, Marketing Public Relations and Image, data collection techniques conducted by interviews and literature. The results of this study indicate that Public Relations at Gyu-Kaku Indonesia are taken over by the Marketing division in carrying out the role and function of Public Relations properly. A strong role and function is as a Communication Facilitator, who acts as a communicator or mediator who helps management in listening to what the customer wants and expects. So that mutual communication can create mutual understanding, trust, support and good tolerance from both parties and create a positive image. Key Words : Roles and Functions, Public Relations, Marketing Public Relations, Image Penelitian ini membahas tentang Identifikasi Peran dan Fungsi Public Relations dalam meningkatkan citra Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ. Latar belakang masalah yang diambil adalah Trend pada zaman ini semakin banyaknya restoran berkonsep makan sepuasnya, tujuan penelitian ini adalah menidentifikasi peran dan fungsi Public Relations dalam meningkatkan citra di Gyu-Kaku Pondok Indah Mall 2. Penelitian ini menggunakan tipe penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan teori yang digunakan Komunikasi, Public Relations, Marketing Public Relations dan Citra, teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dengan wawancara, dokumentasi dan kepustakaan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Public Relations di Gyu- Kaku Indonesia diambil alih oleh divisi Marketing dalam menjalankan peran dan fungsi Public Relations dengan baik. Peran dan fungsi yang kuat adalah sebagai Fasilitator Komunikasi, yang bertindak sebagai komunikator atau mediator yang membantu pihak manajemen dalam hal mendengarkan apa yang diinginkan dan diharapkan customer. Sehingga dengan komunikasi timbal balik tersebut dapat tercipta saling pengertian, mempercayai, mendukung dan toleransi yang baik dari kedua belah pihak dan menciptakan citra yang positif.
