Abstract
The picture taker is in charge of arranging the appropriate cameras, then compiling a list of the required cameras, the type of film, lens and lens filter, and other special equipment. In the process of taking pictures, the authors use a handheld camera technique, the composition of rules of third and rooming so that the resulting image is in accordance with what we expect. The documentary film "HOUSE OF HOPE: MARSAN" is a portrait documentary style in the style of documentary film Observation This type also refuses to use narration, comments from outside the story space, interviews, and even rejects the use of long writings that explain the scene. The researcher wants to inform the audience that in Bekasi area has a Foundation that accommodates ODGJ (People with Mental Disorders) and one of them is called the Al-Fajar Berseri Foundation which is motivated by a delman coachman. Keywords: Shooting techniques, documentary films Pengambil Gambar bertugas menata kamera yang sesuai, kemudian menyusun daftar seputar kamera yang dibutuhkan, jenis film, lensa dan filter lensa, serta peralatan khusus lainnya. Dalam proses pengambilan gambar, penulis menggunakan Teknik kamera handheld, komposisi berupa rule of third dan rooming agar gambar yang dihasilkan sesuai dengan apa yang kami harapkan. Film dokumenter “RUMAH HARAPAN: MARSAN” ini bergenre dokumenter potret dengan gaya film dokumenter Observasi Tipe ini juga menolak menggunakan narasi, komentar dari luar ruang cerita, wawancara, bahkan menolak penggunaan tulisan panjang yang menjelaskan adegan. Peneliti ingin memberitahukan kepada penonton bahwa di daerah Bekasi memiliki Yayasan yang menampung ODGJ (Orang Dengan Gangguan Jiwa) dan salah satunya yang bernama Yayasan Al-Fajar Berseri yang dilatar belakangi seorang kusir delman.
