Abstract

Along with the times, films are often used as a medium of mass communication to convey certain messages. Especially the film that tells the true story that happened REAL. Unlike other types of films, films based on true stories are expected to be able to convey certain messages desired by filmmakers now. In making our short film, the editor applied the theory and concept of Continuity Editing from predecessors in the editing world such as D.W Griffith, who was then forwarded by Edwin S. Porter, Pudkovin and Marselli Soemarno. This concept makes it easy for editors to connect drama stories that require continuity from all aspects of good drama film editing. Keywords: Film, Drama, Editing Application Design Seiring perkembangan zaman, film sering digunakan sebagai media komunikasi massa untuk menyampaikan pesan pesan tertentu. Terutama film yang mengangkat kisah nyata yang terjadi secara REAL. Berbeda dengan jenis film lainnya, film yang diangkat dari kisah nyata diharapkan lebih bisa menyampaikan pesan tertentu yang diinginkan oleh para sineas sineas sekarang. Dalam pembuatan film pendek kami, editor mengaplikasikan teori dan konsep Continuity Editing dari para pendahulu didunia editing seperti D.W Griffith yang kemudian diteruskan oleh Edwin S. Porter , Pudkovin dan Marselli Soemarno. Konsep ini memudahkan editor dalam menyambung cerita drama yang membutuhkan kesinambungan dari segala aspek dalam editing film drama yang baik.
