Abstract
The dynamic development of cities in Indonesia faces the challenges of globalization. Globalization brings values that then to undermine and slowly shifts both local and national values of the view of a society. As a result, the development of urban infrastructure becomes less attention to the special pattern of society which bassiclly has local wisdom that plural in every gap of life. Social pattern of society along with the values of social piety that built long ago this underlying the design of this Folk Cultural Park of Sleman by bringing these values back consciously into the process of architectural design. Cultural park is the largest center of cultural activity in Sleman. This cultural is a destination for people who want to become artists, culturalists, or connoisseurs of art and culture. Cultural park project refers to approach the concept of value local, urban public space, interconnected space, and sustainability. Local is the main value of design approach, ie by combining local traditional architecture with architecture developed at this time. Urban public space is an effort to increase public interest in the arts and culture. Interconnected space is an approach to spaces at the taman budaya, in order to create spaces more efficient, dynamic and flexible. Sustainability concepts applied to the design in an effort to preserve the environment, where the building expected to have no negative impact on the environment. Keyword : Park, Cultural, Sleman. Perkembangan kota di Indonesia yang dinamis menghadapi tantangan globalisasi. Globalisasi membawa nilai-nilai yang cenderung merusak dan menggeser perlahan baik nilai lokal maupun nasional pola pandang suatu masyarakat. Akibatnya pembangunan infrastruktur perkotaan menjasi kurang memperhatikan pola sosial masyarakat yang pada dasarnya memiliki kearifan lokal yang jamak pada setiap celah kehidupan. Pola sosial masyarakat beserta nilai-nilai kesalehan sosial yang terbangun sejak lama inilah yang mendasari perancangan Taman Budaya Sleman ini dengan menggunakan kembali nilai-nilai tersebut secara sadar dalam proses perancangan arsitektur. Taman budaya merupakann tempat pusat aktivitas budaya terbesar di Sleman. Taman budaya menjadi tujuan bagi masyarakat yang ingin menjadi seniman, budayawan, ataupun penikmat seni budaya. Perencanaan taman budaya ini mengacu pada pendeketan konsep nilai lokal, urban public space, interconnected space, dan sustainability. Nilai lokal merupakan pendekatan utama dari perancangan ini, yaitu dengan memadukan arsitektur tradisional setempat dengan arsitektur yang berkembang saat ini. Urban public space merupakan salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan minat masyarakat terhadap seni dan kebudayaan. Interconnected space adalah sebuah pendekatan terhadap ruang-ruang pada taman budaya ini, agar ruang-ruang yang tercipta lebih efisien, dinamis, dan fleksibel. Konsep sustainability diterpakan pada desain sebagai upaya kelestarian lingkungan, dimana bangunan diharapkan tidak memberikan dampak negatif terhadap lingkungan. Kata Kunci : Taman, Budaya, Sleman.
