Abstract
Blok PT. ==== Indonesia's oil production from year to year has decreased. According to SKK MIGAS (Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities), the decline was due to around 90 percent of total oil production generated from fields that are more than 30 years old, so a large investment is needed to contain the rate of natural decline. Block PT. OJS (Offshore Java Sea Limited Company) is one of the oldest main blocks supporting Indonesia's oil and gas production with the production of 32000 BOPD (Barrel Oil Per Day) of oil and 167 MMSCFD (Million Metric Standard Cubic Feet Per Day) gas, which has been operating since 1999. 1971. ZU Flowstation is one of the production fields of PT. OJS, which has been operating since 1984 with a production of 2000 - 2300, has 24 artificial lift / ESP (Electrical Submersible Pump) wells with different characteristics. The phenomenon that occurs in oil wells that are more than 40 years old requires optimization of production so that it can be optimal and efficient. In this study, the optimization of oil well production was carried out by adjusting the speed of the ESP motor on the VSD (Variable speed Drive) automatically so that production could be more optimal using the binary programming method. The results showed an increase in production from 24 wells by 356 BOPD or 3.56%.
