Abstract

The development of the manufacturing industry is currently not only focused on the element of quantity, but the element of quality is also the main focus in a manufacturing production process. Full attention to quality will have a positive impact on the business in two ways, namely: decreased production costs and increased income. To make higher quality products, PT. GTD always makes continuous improvements and innovations so that the products produced are in accordance with the demand requested by customers and can also compete with other competing companies. Six Sigma is a comprehensive approach to solving problems and improving processes through the DMAIC stage (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control). From the measure stage with the Pareto diagram it is known that the most tubeless assembly assembly in January to June is off center and it is known that the sigma value is 3.58 with a DPMO value of 342.69. In the analyze stage, a causal diagram or fishbone diagram is used to analyze the causes of a problem. In this improve phase, the Potential Failure Mode Effect and Analysis (PFMEA) method is used. At the control control stage, a control chart is used to monitor rejects and tubing assembly machine tooling per day. From the results of the study, the DPMO decrease to 71.14 and there is an increase in the sigma value to 3.98 after the application of the Six Sigma concept. Keywords: Six Sigma, DMAIC, DPMO, Reject Perkembangan industri manufaktur saat ini tidak hanya berfokus pada unsur kuantitas, akan tetapi unsur kualitas pun menjadi fokus utama dalam sebuah proses produksi manufaktur. Perhatian penuh kepada kualitas akan memberikan dampak yang positif kepada bisnis melalui dua cara, yaitu: penurunan biaya produksi dan peningkatan pendapatan. Untuk membuat hasil produksi lebih berkualitas PT. GTD selalu melakukan perbaikan dan inovasi yang berkesinambungan (continous improvement) sehingga produk yang dihasilkan sesuai dengan permintaan yang dinginkan oleh pelanggan dan juga dapat bersaing dengan perusahaan kompetitor lainnya. Six Sigma merupakan pendekatan menyeluruh untuk menyelesaikan masalah dan peningkatan proses melalui tahap DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control). Dari tahap measure dengan diagram pareto diketahui bahwa reject tubeless assembly terbanyak di bulan januari sampai juni adalah off center dan diketahui bahwa nilai sigma sebesar 3,58 dengan nilai DPMO sebesar 342,69. Pada tahap analyze digunakan diagram sebab-akibat atau fishbone diagram untuk menganalisa sebab-sebab suatu masalah. Pada tahap improve ini digunakan metode Potential Failure Mode Effect and Analysis (PFMEA). Pada tahap control pengendalian digunakan control chart untuk memonitoring reject dan tooling mesin tubeless assembly per day. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan penurunan DPMO menjadi 71,14 dan terjadi peningkatan nilai sigma menjadi 3,98 setelah aplikasi konsep Six Sigma. Kata kunci: Six Sigma, DMAIC, DPMO, Reject
