Abstract

This study is to predict financial distress in coal mining companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2014-2018. The sample selection used in this study used a purposive sampling method and obtained 3 companies as samples. Research data obtained from the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The results showed the Altman and Springate method states that all three companies experienced financial distress, while the Zmijewski method stated that one company experienced financial distress and two companies were declared not in financial distress. Keywords: Altman Method, Springate Method, Zmijewski Method, Bankruptcy Prediction, Financial Distress. Penelitian ini untuk memprediksi financial distress pada perusahaan pertambangan batubara yang terdaftar di Bursa Efex Indonesia pada tahun 2014-2018. Pemilihan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode purposive sampling dan didapatkan 3 perusahaan sebagai sampel. Data penelitian diperoleh dari Bursa Efek Indonesia. Hasil penelitian menunjukan metode Altman dan Springate menyatakan ketiga perusahaan mengalami financial distress, sedangkan metode Zmijewski menyatakan satu perusahaan mengalami financial distress dan dua perusahaan dinyatakan tidak dalam kondisi financial distress. Kata Kunci: Metode Altman, Metode Springate, Metode Zmijewski, Financial Distress.
