Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic has made people feel the new normal era, the new normal is an adaptation of activities as usual and new activities. The public is required to carry out activities as usual but must follow the applicable health protocols so as not to contract the Covid-19 virus. These changes lead to an increased workload and affect the company's performance. Career Adaptability can help workers to adapt to this new normal era in their work environment. This study aims to examine whether Career Adaptability holds a mediator role between the Burnout and Work Engagement. This study uses a quantitative method and using the Accidetal Sampling technique. The subjects in this study are workers who worked in Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi. Mediation regression analysis in this study used the PROCESS V3.5 Procedure for SPSS by Hayes. The results of this study indicate that Career Adaptability has a role as a mediator between Burnout and Work Engagement, this indicates that Burnout will not affect Work Engagement with Career Adaptability. This research is expected to be a reference for workers and companies regarding the importance of understanding the factors related to Burnout, CareerAdaptability, and Work Engagement so that workers can improve their performance by being able to adapt and reduce workloads. Keywords: Career Adaptability, Burnout,Work Engagement, NewNormal, Workers Pandemi COVID-19 ini membuat masyarakat merasakan era new normal, new normal merupakan suatu adaptasi dari kegiatan seperti biasanya dan kegiatan baru. Masyarakat dituntut untuk menjalankan aktivitas seperti biasa namun harus mengikuti protokol kesehatan yang berlaku agar tidak terjangkit virus Covid-19. Perubahan tersebut menyebabkan beban kerja yang meningkat dan mempengaruhi kinerja di perusahaan. Career Adaptability dapat membantu para pekerja untuk beradaptasi dengan era new normal ini di lingkungan kerjanya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah Career Adaptability mempunyai peran sebagai mediator antara Burnout dan Work Engagement pada pekerja di era new normal. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan menggunakan teknik Accidetal Sampling. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah pekerja yang bekerja di Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, dan Bekasi.analisis regresi mediasi pada penelitian ii menggunakan PROCESS V3.5 Prosedure for SPSS oleh Hayes. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Career Adaptability memiliki peran sebagai mediator antara Burnout dan Work Engagement, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa Burnout tidak akan mempengaruhi Work Engagement dengan adanya Career Adaptability. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan bagi pekerja dan perusahaan mengenai pentingnya memahami faktor-faktor yang berkaitan dengan burnout, career adaptability,dan work engagement sehingga pekerja dapat meningkatkan kinerjanya dengan mempu beradaptasi dan mengurangi beban kerja.
