Abstract

In 2019 the agricultural sector contributed 1.81% to Indonesia's economic growth, its mean provides wide opportunities for the manufacturing industry to be able to develop business in this sector, especially since the government has begun to aggressively implement modernization in this sector, even according to the Ministry of Agriculture, the agricultural sector is certainly ready to enter the industrial revolution 4.0. With the above challenges, as one of the leading rubber manufacturing companies engaged in the automotive sector, PT. IRI began to strengthen business development in the industrial sector by making various goods from rubber for the agricultural sector, namely rubber crawlers for combine harvesting machines. The main problem faced today is joint crack of the rubber crawler with a service life under the customer's standard, which is 800-1000 hours of use. Based on internal trial data from January - September 2019, the highest defect in rubber crawler products is a joint crack by 90%, where this defect is caused during the curing process in rubber crawler production. By using the Six Sigma methodology and using the DMAIC (Define-Measure-Analyze- Improve-Control) cycle, can implement improvement with fuzzy FMEA, and the result is the Sigma level increased from 1.36 to 5.76 with a cost saving of IDR. 621,000,000 Keywords: rubber crawler, six sigma, DMAIC, Fuzzy FMEA, quality Pada tahun 2019 sektor pertanian berkontribusi terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi di Indonesia sebesar 1,31%, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa sektor pertanian memberikan peluang yang luas bagi industri manufaktur untuk dapat mengembangkan bisnisnya dalam sektor pertanian, terlebih pemerintah mulai gencar menerapkan modernisasi di sektor ini, bahkan menurut Kementan, sektor pertanian sudah dipastikan siap memasuki revolusi industry 4.0. Dengan tantangan di atas, sebagai salah satu perusahaan manufaktur karet ternama yang bergerak dibidang otomotif, PT. IRI mulai memperkuat pengembangan bisnis dalam sektor industrial dengan membuat aneka barang dari karet untuk sektor pertanian, yaitu rubber crawler untuk mesin panen padi. Masalah utama yang dihadapi saat ini adalah pecah atau crack pada sambungan rubber crawler dengan masa pakai dibawah standar dari customer, yaitu 800-1000 jam pemakaian. Dari hasil trial internal bulan Januari - September 2019, kecacatan tertinggi pada produk rubber crawler adalah joint crack sebesar 90%, dimana kecacatan ini disebabkan selama proses curing pada produksi rubber crawler. Dengan menggunakan metode Six Sigma DMAIC (Define-Measure-Analyze-Improve- Control), dan implementasi perbaikan dengan fuzzy FMEA, dan hasilnya level Sigma meningkat dari 1,36 menjadi 5,76 dengan penghematan biaya sebesar Rp. 621.000.000.
