Abstract

The development of tourism on the island of Untung Jawa led to a change in the spatial pattern on the island of Untung Jawa. The purpose of this research is to find out what influence arising from tourism activities on the spatial pattern on Untung Jawa Island. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with direct observation. The spatial pattern of a settlement or region can be influenced by several factors such as layout, circulation, spatial settings, natural environment, behavior settings, socio-economic settings, cultural settings, and tourism activities. The results of the research are tourism activities in the area, namely the placement of facilities and infrastructure related to tourism on the main southern part of the road where there are 4 crossing docks for tourists and the available tourist attractions are connected to the main road. This resulted in laying community settlements in the center / core of the island. In addition, the influence of tourism activities in this region gave birth to new livelihoods for the community, such as the existence of water sports services, dining, souvenir shops and lodging. Keyword: Spatial Pattern, Tourism Activity, Untung Jawa Islan Perkembangan pariwisata di Pulau Untung Jawa menyebabkan terjadinya perubahan pola spasial di Pulau Untung Jawa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apa pengaruh yang ditimbulkan dari aktivitas pariwisata terhadap pola spasial di Pulau Untung Jawa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan observasi secara langsung. Pola spasial suatu permukiman atau kawasan dapat dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor seperti tata letak, sirkulasi, setting spasial, lingkungan alam, setting perilaku, setting sosial ekonomi, setting budaya, dan aktivitas pariwisata. Hasil penelitian adanya aktivitas wisata di kawasan tersebut, yakni peletakkan sarana & prasarana yang terkait dengan pariwisata berada di jalan utama bagian selatan di mana terdapat 4 dermaga penyeberangan untuk para wisatawan dan objek wisata yang tersedia terhubung dengan jalan utama tersebut. Hal ini mengakibatkan peletakkan permukiman masyarakat berada di bagian tengah/inti pulau. Selain itu pengaruh adanya aktivitas wisata di kawasan ini melahirkan mata pencaharian baru bagi masyarakat, seperti adanya layanan jasa kegiatan olahraga air, tempat makan, toko cinderamata dan penginapan.
