Abstract

Furniture is one that is needed by the community to fulfill the contents of their homes, as for pillows that are very important to be placed in the room for their place to rest. To ensure the availability of these products, it is necessary to control each product needed by the customer. Inventory control certainly requires costs. Errors in controlling product inventory will add to the costs that the company must incur. The purpose of this study is to determine inventory control methods that provide economical inventory costs. Therefore needs planning is done using three forecasting methods and four lot sizing techniques. For the best forecasting method is a linear trend method because it has the smallest error value. Where the results of the forecasting are used for gross requirement values in the lot sizing technique to find out the application of lot sizing techniques for Bolster Pillows. From the results of processing data from four lot sizing techniques, the method with the smallest value for each pillow is the Least Unit Cost and Part Period Balancing method for Bolster Pillow which has a total cost of Rp. 750.000 with orders made every period. From the calculation results using lot sizing techniques such as Least Unit Cost (LUC) and Part Period Balancing (PPB), it is found that the results of LUC and PPB methods have the same total cost, the smallest and similar to the lot for lot , where the order is made in each period. So after the research was conducted, it was found that for the type of pillow bolster product, it could use the application of the Least Unit Cost (LUC) and Part Period Balancing (PPB) methods to be more efficient. Furniture merupakan salah satu yang dibutuhkan masyarakat untuk memenuhi isi rumahnya, adapun bantal yang sangat penting untuk diletakan dikamar untuk tempat mereka beristirahat. Untuk menjamin ketersediaan produk tersebut perlu dilakukan pengendaliaan atas tiap-tiap produk yang dibutuhkan pelanggan. Pengendalian persediaan tentu memerlukan biaya. Kesalahan dalam melakukan pengendaliaan persediaan produk akan menambah biaya yang harus dikeluarkan perusahaan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan metode pengendalian persediaan yang memberikan biaya persediaan yang ekonomis. Oleh karena itu perencanaan kebutuhan dilakukan dengan menggunakan tiga metode peramalan dan empat teknik lot sizing. Untuk metode peramalan yang terbaik adalah metode trend linier karena memiliki nilai error paling terkecil. Dimana hasil peramalanya digunakan untuk nilai gross requirement pada teknik lot sizing untuk mengetahui penerapan teknik lot sizing untuk Bolster Pillows. Dari hasil pengolahan data dari empat teknik lot sizing didapatkan metode yang nilainya paling terkecil untuk tipe Bolster pillows adalah metode Least Unit Cost dan Part Period Balancing. untuk Bolster Pillow memiliki total biaya Rp. 750.000 dengan pemesanan dilakukan setiap periode, Dari hasil perhitungan dengan teknik lot sizing seperti Least Unit Cost (LUC) dan Part Period Balancing (PPB) didapatkan bahwa hasil perhitungan metode LUC dan PPB memiliki total biaya yang sama, terkecil dan sejenis dengan metode lot for lot, dimana untuk pemesanannya dilakukan pada setiap periode. Maka setelah dilakukan penelitian didapatkan hasil bahwa untuk masing – masing jenis produk pillow dapat menggunkan penerapan metode Least Unit Cost (LUC) dan Part Period Balancing (PPB) untuk lebih efisien. Kata Kunci : Pengendaliaan Persediaan, Biaya Persediaan,Teknik Lot Sizing,Nilai Error,Total Biaya Terkecil.
