Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between self esteem with hedonic lifestyle among students at the University of Mercu Buana. The population in the study were students of Mercu Buana University majoring in Public Relation and Psychology as many as 244 respondents. The sampling method used is stratified random sampling. Data analysis technique used by Correlation Spearman analysis. The results concluded that there is a significant negative relationship between self esteem and hedonic lifestyle among students of Mercu Buana University. Keywords: Self Esteem, Hedonic Lifestyle Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ada hubungan antara self esteem dengan gaya hidup hedonis di kalangan mahasiswa Universitas Mercu Buana. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah mahasiswa Universitas Mercu Buana jurusan Public Relation dan Psikologi sebanyak 244 responden. Metode sampling yang digunakan adalah stratified random sampling. Teknik analisa data yang digunakan dengan menggunakan analisis Korelasi Spearman. Hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara self esteem dengan gaya hidup hedonis di kalangan mahasiswa Universitas Mercu Buana. Kata Kunci : Self Esteem, Gaya Hidup Hedonis
