Abstract

Increased competition between industries is the impact of globalization, globalization makes the distribution more easier. Increased competition requires industry owners to find ways to keep their products in the market. One thing that industry owners can do is to improve the performance of the production line, which is to improve the production line to be more effective and efficient. This study improves the production line to be a more balanced with the simulation method with the simul8 Software. This software is used to determine initial performance and provide a more effective and efficient track scenario. The data used is the processing time of each station and the arrival distribution for one batch of E-100 paints. From the results of the study produced two scenarios that can be used, the first and second scenarios each produced 1117 pallets and 1131 pallets from the previous only 968 pallets. Keywords:Line Balancing, Simulation, Effectiveness Peningkatan persaingan antar industry adalah dampak dari globalisasi, globalisasi menyebabkan persebaran barang menjadi lebih mudah. Persaingan yang meningkat mengaharuskan para pemilik industri menemukan cara supaya produknya tetap eksis di pasaran. Salah satu yang bisa dilakukan para pemilik industry adalah dengan meningkatkan performa lintasan produksi, yaitu melakukan improve lintasan produksi menjadi lebih efektif dan efisien. Penelitian ini memperbaiki lintasan yang sudah ada menjadi lintasan yang seimbang dengan metode simulai dengan metode Software simul8. Software ini digunakan untuk mengetahui performa awal dan memberi skenario lintasan yang lebih efektif dan efisien. Data yang digunakan merupakan processing time tiap stasiun dan arrival distribution untuk satu batch cat E – 100. Dari hasil penelitian menghasilkan dua sekenario yang dapat digunakan, seekenario pertama dan keuda masing – masing menghasilkan 1117 pallet dan 1131 pallet dari yang sebelumnya hanya berjumlah 968 pallet saja.
