Abstract
Maintenance is a combination of various actions taken to keep an item in, or repair it until an acceptable condition. A clearer understanding of maintenance is the act of caring for the machine or factory equipment by renewing the service life and failure / damage of the engine. PT. Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper is a company that produces various types of paper to complete the production target of 100,000 tons of paper per year. Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper has three Paper Mechines (PM) to complete their production targets. For this reason, a reliable machine is needed. In the Dryer Paper Machine 2, there are often obstacles that are excessive downtime, so it is necessary to calculate Time Between Failure (TBF) and Nomograph tables to determine the machine overhauls time. Judging from the Graph of β Relationship with Maintenance Downtime (MDT), it is known that the maintenance carried out in the Dryer Paper Machine 2 at PT. Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper needs great maintenance and replaces the worn and damaged Dryer Paper Machine 2 component. In accordance with the results in the graph shows that the engine maintenance point is on a schedule of overhauls. it can be concluded that the average amount of Dryer Paper Machine 2 work at PT. Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper in the period of January 2017 to August 2017 of 74 hours per week means that there is frequent downtime in the Dryer Paper Machine 2. Key Words: Maintenance, Downtime, Time Between Failure, Nomograph Table Maintenance adalah suatu kombinasi dari berbagai tindakan yang dilakukan untuk menjaga suatu barang dalam, atau memperbaikinya sampai suatu kondisi yang bisa diterima. Pengertian Pemeliharaan yang lebih jelas adalah tindakan merawat mesin atau peralatan pabrik dengan memperbaharui umur masa pakai dan kegagalan/kerusakan mesin. PT. Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper adalah perusahaan yang memproduksi berbagai jenis kertas untuk menyelesaikan target produksi 100.000 ton kertas per tahun PT. Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper memiliki tiga Paper Mechine (PM) untuk menyelesaikan target produksinya. Untuk itu diperlukan mesin yang handal, pada Dryer Paper Machine 2 sering ditemukan kendala yaitu waktu downtime yang berlebih, maka diperlukan perhitungan Time Between Failure (TBF) dan tabel Nomograph untuk mengetahui waktu Overhauls mesin.
