Abstract
The control of raw material inventory is an important issue for the company as it relates to the total cost to be incurred. The objective of raw material inventory control in this final project is to minimize total cost of inventory by considering method of forcasting and MRP method for inventory. Problems that occur in the company are high inventory cost in one period (12 months). Forecasting method used is moving average, exponential smoothing, and linier trend model. The author conducted research on PT.Bakrie Building Industries, a company engaged in manufacturing with the production of Roof and Fiber. The purpose of this study is to find out whether the company has made an economical order in meeting the material needs, as well as knowing the minimum total inventory cost among the lot size methods EOQ and FOQ. After calculating the total cost of inventory in get results where the least cost of inventory is by using EOQ method where the total cost of inventory that can be reduced is from Rp325.951.320 - Rp228.471.260 = Rp97.480.060, - so with EOQ (Economic Order Quantity) method can save total inventory cost up to Rp97.480.060,- Keywords: Inventory, Cost, Appointment, Material Requirement Planning, Economic Order Quantity, Fixed Order Quantity Pengendalian persediaan bahan baku merupakan masalah penting bagi perusahaan karena berkaitan dengan total biaya yang akan dikeluarkan. Tujuan pengendalian persediaan bahan baku pada tugas akhir ini adalah meminimalkan total biaya persediaan dengan mempertimbangkan metode forcasting dan metode MRP untuk persediaan. Masalah yang terjadi pada perusahaan adalah Biaya Persediaan yang masih tinggi dalam 1 periode (12 bulan). Metode forecasting yang digunakan adalah moving average, exponential smoothing, dan linier trend model. Penulis melakukan penelitian pada PT.Bakrie Building Industries, perusahaan bergerak di bidang manufaktur dengan hasil produksi Atap dan Fiber. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah perusahaan selama ini telah melakukan pemesanan yang ekonomis dalam memenuhi kebutuhan bahan, serta mengetahui total biaya persediaan mana yang paling minimal di antara metode lot size EOQ dan FOQ. Setelah melakukan perhitungan total biaya persediaan di dapatkan hasil dimana biaya persediaan paling kecil adalah dengan menggunakan metode EOQ dimana total biaya persediaan yang dapat dikurangi adalah dari Rp 325.951,320 – Rp 228.471.0260 = Rp 97.480.060,- jadi dengan metode EOQ dapat menghemat total biaya persediaan sampai dengan Rp 97.480.060,- Kata Kunci: Persediaan, Biaya, Permalan, Material Requirement Planning, Economic Order Quantity, Fixed Order Quantity
