Abstract
In the era of globalization like this the need for convenient, inexpensive and fast transportation facilities is needed by everyone. The development and advancement in human mobility cannot be separated from transportation facilities that require time, comfort and safety efficiency. Air transportation is one of the fastest and most efficient transportation in terms of transport capacity and travel time. The quality of transportation services to make it easier for people to travel to a place with destinations outside the city and outside the province and provide mobility for economic, community and foreign and local tourists. The design of domestic airports on the island of Alor aims to support mobility for people and tourists who will come or go to the island of Alor, because there are so many tourist attractions on the island of Alor that has extraordinary beauty, and the theme of contextual architecture as a theme chosen as director of the design of the airport so that it can produce a design that can blend with local discernment in the area. Keywords: transportation, airport, contextual architecture Pada era globalisasi seperti ini kebutuhan akan sarana transportasi yang nyaman, murah dan cepat sangat dibutuhkan oleh setiap orang. Perkembangan dan kemajuan dalam mobilitas manusia, tidak lepas dari sarana transportasi yang membutuhkan efisiensi waktu, kenyamanan dan keselamatan. Transportasi udara merupakan salah satu transportasi yang paling cepat dan efisien dilihat dari kapasitas angkut serta waktu tempuh. Kualitas pelayanan jasa angkutan agar semakin mempermudah masyarakat dalam berpergian ke suatu tempat dengan tujuan luar kota maupun luar provinsi dan memberikan kemudahan mobilitas bagi para pelaku ekonomi, masyarakat dan wisatawan Asing maupun lokal. Perancangan Bandar udara domestik di pulau alor ini bertujuan untuk penunjang mobilitas untuk masyarakat maupun wisatawan yang akan datang atau pergi ke pulau alor, karena banyak sekali tempat wisata di pulau alor yang mempunyai keindahan yang luar biasa, dan tema Arsitektur kontekstual sebagai tema yang di pilih sebagai pengarah dari perancangan badar udara ini sehingga dapat menghasilkan rancangan yang dapat menyatu dengan kearifan lokal pada daerah tersebut.
