Abstract
Travel distance has an important role in order picking system, low-level picker-to-part, especially in warehousing productivity. Reducing travel distance means reducing travel time. United Tractors (UT) is the largest and leading heavy equipment distributor in Indonesia, for the company the process of managing an effective and efficient warehouse is very important to support the goals of the company to guarantee and maintain the continuity and continuity of each activity within each work unit. In the company the problem is in the part retrieval process which does not have a specific method and guidance in determining the picking order process, which results in late order fulfillment, therefore it is hoped that this research can solve the problem of the order picking process which is aimed at calculating the optimal distance and time taken using routing heuristic and zone picking methods. The results showed that the zone picking method gave optimal results with a saving percentage of 77% with a distance of 34 meters and a travel time of 4 minutes per picking list order. Keywords: Picking order, time and distance, routing method, zone picking, warehouse intractive Jarak tempuh memiliki peran penting dalam rangka sistem pemetik, picker-to-part tingkat rendah, terutama dalam produktivitas pergudangan. Mengurangi jarak tempuh berarti mengurangi waktu tempuh. United Tractors (UT) adalah distributor peralatan berat terbesar dan terkemuka di Indonesia, bagi perusahaan proses pengelolaan warehouse yang efektif dan efisien sangat penting untuk mendukung tujuan perusahaan menjamin dan menjaga keberlangsungan serta kesinambungan setiap aktivitas dalam setiap unit kerjanya. Pada perusahaan permasalahan ada pada proses pengambilan part dimana belum mempunyai suatu metode khusus serta panduan dalam menentukan proses order picking, yang berdampak pada terlambatnya pemenuhan order, untuk itu diharapkan penelitian ini dapat memecahkan permasalahan proses order picking tersebut yang ditujukan dengan menghitung jarak dan waktu optimal yang ditempuh menggunakan metode routing heuristic dan zone picking. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode zone picking memberikan hasil optimal dengan persentase penghematan sebesar 77% dengan jarak 34 meter dan waktu tempuh 4 menit per picking list order Kata kunci: Order picking, jarak dan waktu, metode routing, zone picking, warehouse intractive
