Abstract
The development of smartphones increasingly rapidly some people certainly have it, ranging from adults to adolescents, but the use of a smartphone not for the means of sports but only limited to a mobile phone that only serves to contact a relative friend, sodara or others. Pedometer itself is a tool used to calculate steps but still based on electronics. For that the author wants to make an application based on android pedometer to further maximize the use of this smartphone. This application works using the accelerometer sensor on the smartphone, when someone walks or runs the accelerometer sensor will detect the shock so that anyone stepping then it will count 1 and will continue to grow when someone is giving shocks to the smartphone. With this application is expected someone is able to record the number of steps in a day so that someone can meet the target of 10,000 steps. By walking 10,000 steps every day it will avoid osteoporosis in old age. Keywords : Android, Pedometer, Sensor Accelerometer, health Perkembangan smartphone kian hari semakin pesat bagi sebagian orang dipastikan sudah memilikinya, mulai dari kalangan dewasa hingga remaja, namun kegunaan smartphone bukan untuk sarana olehraga melainkan hanya sebatas telepon genggam yang hanya berfungsi untuk menghubungi sesorang kerabat teman, sodara atau orang lain. Pedometer itu sendiri adalah alat yang digunakan untuk menghitung langkah namun masih berbasis elektronik. Untuk itu penulis ingin membuat aplikasi pedometer berbasis android untuk lebih memaksimalkan penggunaan smartphone ini. Aplikasi ini bekerja menggunakan sensor accelerometer yang ada pada smartphone, ketika seseorang berjalan atau berlari maka sensor accelerometer akan mendeteksi guncangan sehingga setiap seseorang melangkah maka akan dihitung 1 dan akan terus bertambah ketika seseorang tersebut memberikan guncangan pada smartphone. Dengan aplikasi ini diharapkan seseorang mampu mencatat jumlah langkahnya dalam sehari sehingga seseorang dapat memenuhi target langkah 10.000. Dengan berjalan 10.000 langkah setiap harinya maka akan terhindar penyakit osteoporosis di usia tua. Kata Kunci: Android, Pedometer, Sensor Accelerometer, Kesehatan
