Abstract
In 2012, Indonesia is the second largest market share in ASEAN with the number of car sales reached 1,116,402 units (Gaikindo). The increasing car sales can not be separated from the role of the salesperson as the spearhead sales. Productivity of the sales force in selling cars is closely related to their compensation and job satisfaction. The purpose of the study is to identify the effects of compensation and job satisfaction on productivity suzuki’s salesman at PT.Restu Mahkota Karya. The study sample involving as many as 162 employees salesperson respondents from six different regions are determined through saturation sampling technique, while the research data is obtained through questionnaires. Correlational research methodology uses a model that studies the relationship or influence variables through multiple linear regression. Variable degrees of relationship expressed in the correlation coefficient is used to test the hypothesis. The results of the study, compensation partially have no significant effect on the productivity of the sales force. While job satisfaction have a weak significant effect on the productivity of the sales force. Simultaneous compensation and job satisfaction have a weak significant effect on the productivity of the sales force of PT.Restu Mahkota Karya. Keywords: compensation, job satisfaction, productivity of the sales force Tahun 2012 Indonesia merupakan negara pangsa pasar kedua terbesar di Asean dengan jumlah penjualan mobil mencapai 1.116.402 unit (Gaikindo). Meningkatnya penjualan mobil tidak terlepas dari peran wiraniaga sebagai ujung tombak penjualan. Produktivitas wiraniaga dalam menjual mobil terkait erat dengan kompensasi dan kepuasan kerja mereka. Tujuan penelitian mengidentifikasi pengaruh kompensasi, kepuasan kerja terhadap produktivitas wiraniaga suzuki di PT.Restu Mahkota Karya. Sampel penelitian melibatkan karyawan wiraniaga sebanyak 162 responden dari enam wilayah berbeda yang ditentukan melalui teknik sampling jenuh, sedangkan data penelitian diperoleh melalui kuesioner. Metodologi penelitian menggunakan model korelasional yang mempelajari hubungan atau pengaruh variabel melalui regresi linier berganda. Drajat hubungan variabel tersebut dinyatakan dalam koefesien korelasi yang digunakan untuk menguji hipotesis. Hasil penelitian, secara parsial kompensasi tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap produktivitas wiraniaga. Sedangkan kepuasan kerja berpengaruh signifikan lemah terhadap produktivitas wiraniaga. Secara simultan kompensasi dan kepuasan kerja berpengaruh signifikan lemah terhadap produktivitas wiraniaga Suzuki PT.Restu Mahkota Karya.
