Abstract
Advances in information technology have encouraged schools to utilize websites as an effective and sustainable medium for disseminating information to the public. However, website content management still faces various challenges, particularly on the backend, which is not yet well organized, making it difficult for school administrators to update information independently. This research aims to design and implement a web-based multi-tenant Content Management System (CMS) backend using the Laravel framework. The system was developed by applying the multi-tenant concept, which allows a single application to serve multiple schools through a data separation mechanism based on each school’s unique identifier (school_id). The research employed the Waterfall method, which includes the stages of requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and evaluation. The study was conducted at SD Plus Quantumahad Persis 165 Arjasari, Bandung, which requires a backend system to manage various types of information, including school profiles, teacher data, student data, news, galleries, facilities, extracurricular activities, PPDB, and website appearance settings in a structured manner. The CMS backend was built using the Laravel framework with a Model�View-Controller (MVC) architecture, supported by routing mechanisms, user authentication, and a MySQL database to manage data through Create, Read, Update, and Delete (CRUD) operations. System testing was conducted using the Black Box Testing method to ensure that all backend functions operated in accordance with the specified requirements. The results indicate that the developed multi-tenant CMS backend facilitates school administrators in managing website content independently. In addition, the Super Admin can manage tenant data while monitoring all registered school data. The system also features a well-structured codebase, is easy to maintain, and is capable of preserving data security and consistency. Therefore, the developed CMS backend is expected to provide an effective solution for managing multi-tenant school websites and to serve as a reference for the development of Laravel-based CMS backends in educational environments. Keywords : Backend, Content Management System (CMS), Laravel, School Website Perkembangan teknologi informasi telah mendorong sekolah untuk memanfaatkan website sebagai sarana penyebaran informasi yang efektif dan berkesinambungan kepada masyarakat. Meskipun demikian, pengelolaan konten website masih menghadapi berbagai kendala, khususnya pada sisi backend yang belum terorganisasi dengan baik sehingga administrator sekolah mengalami kesulitan dalam melakukan pembaruan informasi secara mandiri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang serta mengimplementasikan backend Content Management System (CMS) Multi-tenant berbasis web menggunakan framework Laravel. Sistem dikembangkan dengan menerapkan konsep multi-tenant, yang memungkinkan satu aplikasi digunakan oleh banyak sekolah melalui mekanisme pemisahan data berdasarkan identitas masing-masing sekolah (school_id). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Waterfall, yang mencakup tahapan analisis kebutuhan, perancangan sistem, implementasi, pengujian, dan evaluasi. Penelitian ini mengambil studi kasus di SD Plus Quantumahad Persis 165 Arjasari, Bandung, yang membutuhkan sistem backend untuk mengelola berbagai informasi, seperti profil sekolah, data guru, peserta didik, berita, galeri, fasilitas, ekstrakurikuler, PPDB, serta pengaturan tampilan website secara terstruktur. Backend CMS dibangun menggunakan framework Laravel dengan arsitektur Model-View�Controller (MVC), didukung oleh mekanisme routing, autentikasi pengguna, serta basis data MySQL untuk mengelola data melalui operasi Create, Read, Update, dan Delete (CRUD). Pengujian sistem dilakukan menggunakan metode Black Box Testing guna memastikan seluruh fungsi backend berjalan sesuai dengan kebutuhan yang telah ditetapkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa backend CMS Multi�tenant yang dikembangkan mampu memudahkan administrator sekolah dalam mengelola konten website secara mandiri. Selain itu, Super Admin dapat mengelola data tenant sekaligus memantau seluruh data sekolah yang terdaftar. Sistem juga memiliki struktur kode yang rapi, mudah dipelihara, serta mampu menjaga keamanan dan konsistensi data. Oleh karena itu, backend CMS yang dikembangkan diharapkan dapat menjadi solusi dalam pengelolaan website sekolah berbasis multi�tenant secara efektif sekaligus menjadi referensi bagi pengembangan backend CMS berbasis Laravel di lingkungan pendidikan.
