Abstract
The development of digital media has encouraged organizations to utilize social media as an effective promotional platform, particularly through video-based content. Taekwondo Visi Muda Club, as a sports organization, still faces challenges in digital promotion activities, especially in terms of visual quality and content consistency on social media. Therefore, this project aims to design a promotional video for Taekwondo Visi Muda Club in the form of motion graphics with the application of a parallax effect as a promotional medium on Instagram. The design method applied in this project is design thinking, which consists of the empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test stages. The promotional video is designed by combining live-action footage with 2D motion graphic elements and parallax effects to create a dynamic visual presentation with a sense of depth. Promotional message delivery is supported by persuasive communication techniques, including emotional appeal, social proof, and call to action, to increase audience engagement. The final outcome is a promotional video in the Instagram Reels format that showcases training activities, competitions, and athletes’ achievements as the main communication focus. Based on evaluation results and audience feedback, the promotional video is considered to have strong visual appeal and effectively convey promotional messages, contributing to increased awareness and a positive image of Taekwondo Visi Muda Club on social media. Keywords: motion graphic, parallax, promotional video, taekwondo, social media Perkembangan media digital mendorong organisasi untuk memanfaatkan media sosial sebagai sarana promosi yang efektif, khususnya melalui konten berbasis video. Taekwondo Visi Muda Club sebagai organisasi olahraga masih menghadapi kendala dalam kegiatan promosi digital, terutama pada aspek kualitas visual dan konsistensi konten media sosial. Oleh karena itu, perancangan ini bertujuan untuk merancang video promosi Taekwondo Visi Muda Club dalam bentuk motion graphic dengan penerapan efek parallax sebagai media promosi di Instagram. Metode perancangan yang digunakan adalah design thinking yang meliputi tahapan empathize, define, ideate, prototype, dan test. Video promosi dirancang dengan mengombinasikan rekaman video langsung dengan elemen motion graphic 2D serta efek parallax untuk menciptakan tampilan visual yang dinamis dan memiliki kesan kedalaman. Penyampaian pesan promosi didukung dengan penerapan teknik persuasi berupa emotional appeal, social proof, dan call to action guna meningkatkan ketertarikan audiens. Hasil perancangan berupa video promosi dalam format Instagram Reels yang menampilkan aktivitas latihan, perlombaan, serta prestasi atlet sebagai fokus utama pesan komunikasi. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi dan umpan balik audiens, video promosi ini dinilai memiliki daya tarik visual yang baik dan mampu menyampaikan pesan promosi secara efektif, serta berkontribusi dalam meningkatkan kesadaran dan citra positif Taekwondo Visi Muda Club di media sosial.
