Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of interpersonal intelligence on the creativity of students at MercuBuana University. The sample in this research of 241 respondent selected based on the criteria of active regular psychology students from 2022-2023 academic year. The sampling technique used was non-probability sampling with the accidental sampling method. The research instruments consisted of two scales: the Interpersonal Intelligence scale developed by Anderson (1999), which includes 26 items, and the Creativity scale based on Guilford’s concept, adapted from a questionnaire developed by Munasor (2012) and previously used by Yohana Purwa Citraningtyas (2015), comprising 28 items with a reliability score of 0.816. The hypothesis was tested using simple linear regression, which showed that Interpersonal Intelligence accounts for 58.3% of the Creativity of Psychology students at Universitas Mercu Buana for the 2022–2023 academic year, with the remaining 41.7% influenced by other factors. Based on these results, it can be concluded that Interpersonal Intelligence affects Creativity, although it provides only a moderately significant contribution compared to other variables. Keywords : Interpersonal Inteligence, Creativity, Student Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Kecerdasan Interpersonal terhadap Kreativitas Mahasiswa Universitas Mercu Buana. Jumlah sampel pada penelitian ini melibatkan 241 responden yang diambil berdasarkan kriteria mahasiswa psikologi aktif reguler 1 angkatan 2022-2023. Untuk pengambilan sampel, teknik yang digunakan adalah teknik non-probability sampling dengan metode Accidental sampling. Alat ukur dalam penelitian terdiri dari dua skala: skala Kecerdasan Interpersonal dari Anderson (1999) yang terdiri dari 26 item dan skala kreativitas yang mengacu pada konsep dari Guilford yang diadaptasi dari kuesioner yang dikembangkan oleh Munasor (2012) serta sudah pernah digunakan sebelumnya oleh Yohana Purwa Citraningtyas (2015) yang terdiri dari 28 item dengan nilai reliabilitas 0.816. Hasil uji hipotesis menggunakan regresi linier sederhana menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh Kecerdasan Interpersonal sebesar 58,3% terhadap Kreativitas Mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Mercu Buana 2022-2023, sementara 41,7% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa Kecerdasan Interpersonal dapat memengaruhi Kreativitas, akan tetapi hanya memberikan pengaruh yang cukup signifikan dibandingkan dengan variabel lainnya.
