Abstract

The development of social media has become a strategic medium for the dissemination of public information, including in the practice of government public relations. The Public Relations Office of the Secretariat General of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia (DPR RI) utilizes the TikTok platform through the @edukasiparlemen account as a medium for delivering educational information to the public, particularly young people, through the Reduksi Segment, which simplifies parliamentary issues. This study aims to analyze the communication strategy of the Public Relations Office of the Secretariat General of the DPR RI in disseminating educational information through TikTok content on the @edukasiparlemen account in the Reduksi Segment during the 2024–2025 period. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with a constructivist paradigm. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, documentation, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman data analysis model. The results indicate that the communication strategy of the Public Relations Office of the Secretariat General of the DPR RI is implemented in a structured manner through consistent content planning, systematic team organization, the delivery of educational messages using an edutainment approach, and evaluation based on digital engagement indicators, although two-way interaction with the audience still needs to be strengthened. This study is expected to contribute to the development of government communication studies and to the utilization of social media as an effective and relevant medium for public education, particularly for younger generations. Keywords: Communication Strategy, Government Public Relations, TikTok, DPR RI, Educational Information Perkembangan Media sosial telah menjadi sarana strategis dalam penyebaran informasi publik, termasuk dalam praktik humas pemerintahan. Humas Sekretariat Jenderal DPR RI memanfaatkan platform TikTok melalui akun @edukasiparlemen sebagai media penyampaian informasi edukatif kepada masyarakat, khususnya generasi muda, melalui konten Segmen Reduksi yang menyederhanakan isu-isu keparlemenan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi komunikasi Humas Setjen DPR RI dalam penyebaran informasi edukatif melalui konten TikTok @edukasiparlemen Segmen Reduksi periode 2024–2025. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan paradigma konstruktivisme. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi, dengan teknik analisis data model Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi komunikasi Humas Setjen DPR RI dijalankan secara terstruktur melalui perencanaan konten yang konsisten, pengorganisasian tim yang sistematis, pelaksanaan pesan edukatif dengan pendekatan edutainment, serta evaluasi berbasis indikator keterlibatan digital, meskipun interaksi dua arah dengan audiens masih perlu ditingkatkan. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi bagi pengembangan kajian komunikasi pemerintahan serta pemanfaatan media sosial sebagai sarana edukasi publik yang efektif dan relevan bagi generasi muda.
