Abstract
This study was conducted in 2025 at PT. Sankei Gohsyu Industries, an automotive manufacturing company located in Cikarang, Indonesia. The purpose of this research is to analyze the effect of Green Human Resource Management (GHRM) and Work-Life Balance (WLB) on Environmental Performance (EP), with Green Innovation (GI) as a mediating variable. The study is motivated by the growing need for sustainable management practices and the importance of employees’ roles in supporting corporate environmental performance. This research applies a quantitative method with Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis, and data was collected by distributing questionnaires to 100 permanent employees. The results show that GHRM has a positive and significant effect on both EP and GI. WLB significantly affects EP but not GI. Meanwhile, GI does not significantly affect EP and does not mediate the relationship between GHRM and EP or between WLB and EP. This study contributes theoretically to the development of sustainability models in HR management and offers practical implications for companies in formulating strategies based on work-life balance and green innovation to enhance environmental performance. Sankei Gohsyu Industries, sebuah perusahaan manufaktur otomotif yang berlokasi di Cikarang, Indonesia. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh Green Human Resource Management (GHRM) dan Work-Life Balance (WLB) terhadap Environmental Performance (EP), dengan Green Innovation (GI) sebagai variabel mediasi. Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh meningkatnya kebutuhan praktik manajemen berkelanjutan serta pentingnya peran karyawan dalam mendukung performa lingkungan perusahaan. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik analisis Partial Least Square (PLS), dan pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada 100 orang karyawan tetap. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa GHRM berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap EP dan GI. WLB memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap EP, namun tidak terhadap GI. GI sendiri tidak memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap EP, serta tidak memediasi hubungan antara GHRM dan EP maupun WLB dan EP. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi teoretis dalam pengembangan model keberlanjutan di bidang manajemen SDM, dan memberikan implikasi praktis bagi perusahaan dalam menyusun strategi berbasis keseimbangan kerja dan inovasi hijau guna meningkatkan performa lingkungan.
