Abstract

In this globalization era, the advancement of information technology has led to the creation of new innovations, especially in the field of the Internet of Things (IoT), which is the foundation for the development of smart home systems. This home automation system enables the integration, control, and monitoring of various electrical appliances, such as lights, fans, and doors, both manually and automatically. However, the lack of public understanding, especially among students, about KNX protocol-based smart home systems presents a challenge. Therefore, this training kit was created as an interactive learning medium to facilitate understanding of the KNX smart home system. This final project focuses on the design and implementation of a home automation system using the KNX protocol integrated with an Arduino-based door lock system. The system is designed to control electrical appliances such as lights and fans, and to function as door access control. System control can be done in three ways: manually using a KNX keypad, and automatically via a smartphone and voice commands using the Google Home application. The design process includes hardware and software design, including mechanical design, control wiring schematics, and programming using the ETS5 software. Based on the results of testing and operation, it is concluded that the designed KNX and door lock system functions optimally. The response time achieved is 1 second, which is in line with the set target of less than 2 seconds. This success demonstrates that the system is capable of controlling all electrical appliances in each room according to the programmed functions and scenarios, whether through the KNX keypad, smartphone, or voice commands, making this training kit an effective learning tool. Pada era globalisasi, kemajuan teknologi informasi telah mendorong terciptanya inovasi baru, terutama dalam bidang Internet of Things (IoT) yang menjadi landasan bagi pengembangan sistem rumah pintar atau smart home. Sistem otomasi rumah ini memungkinkan integrasi, pengendalian, dan pemantauan berbagai peralatan listrik, seperti lampu, kipas, dan pintu, baik secara manual maupun otomatis. Namun, kurangnya pemahaman masyarakat, khususnya mahasiswa dan pelajar, tentang sistem smart home berbasis protokol KNX menjadi sebuah tantangan. Oleh karena itu, dibuatlah alat training kit ini sebagai media pembelajaran interaktif untuk mempermudah pemahaman mengenai sistem smart home KNX. Tugas akhir ini berfokus pada perancangan dan implementasi sistem otomasi rumah menggunakan protokol KNX yang terintegrasi dengan sistem doorlock berbasis Arduino. Sistem ini dirancang untuk mengendalikan peralatan listrik seperti lampu dan kipas, serta berfungsi sebagai akses kontrol pintu. Pengendalian sistem dapat dilakukan melalui tiga cara: secara manual menggunakan keypad KNX, dan secara otomatis melalui smartphone serta perintah suara menggunakan aplikasi Google Home. Proses perancangan mencakup desain perangkat keras dan perangkat lunak, termasuk perancangan mekanik, skema wiring kontrol, dan pemrograman menggunakan perangkat lunak ETS5. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian dan pengoperasian, disimpulkan bahwa sistem KNX dan doorlock yang telah dirancang berhasil berfungsi dengan optimal. Waktu respons yang dicapai adalah 1 detik, sesuai dengan target yang ditetapkan yaitu kurang dari 2 detik. Keberhasilan ini menunjukkan bahwa sistem mampu mengendalikan seluruh peralatan listrik di setiap ruangan sesuai dengan fungsi dan skenario yang telah diprogram, baik melalui keypad KNX, smartphone, maupun perintah suara, sehingga alat training kit ini dapat menjadi sarana pembelajaran yang efektif.
