Abstract
Conflicts often occur in households, not a few households are destroyed because of a conflict that cannot be resolved by each partner, for example, divorce cases are increasing by young newly married couples, who cannot resolve conflicts within the household. household using family communication patterns. Family communication patterns can be understood as patterns of family relationships in the process of sending and receiving messages that are easy to understand. The pattern of family communication is one of the important factors because the family is a unit in which members are dependent on each other. Family communication patterns can also be used in the process of resolving conflicts that exist in the family. This study aims to determine the communication patterns used by married couples who work in overcoming family conflicts. The supporting concepts and theories in this study are communication, family, family communication patterns, and conflict. This study uses a constructivist paradigm, with a case study research method with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques in this study used in-depth interviews with resource persons working husband and wife. The data validity technique uses triangulation of data sources. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the communication patterns used by married couples who work in overcoming family conflicts use four family communication patterns, namely the equality pattern, the balanced split pattern and the unbalanced pattern. Split Pattern), non-monopoly pattern, and the process of conflict resolution are also assisted by the family. Suggestions from this study for married couples who are having conflict are expected to use various patterns of family communication. Konflik memang sering terjadi di dalam rumah tangga, tidak sedikit rumah tangga yang hancur karena adanya sebuah konflik yang tidak bisa diselesaikan oleh masing-masing pasangan seperti contohnya kasus perceraian yang semakin meningkat oleh pasangan-pasangan muda yang baru menikah, yang tidak bisa menyelesaikan konflik didalam rumah tangganya dengan menggunakan pola komunikasi keluarga. Pola komunikasi keluarga dapat dipahami sebagai pola hubungan keluarga dalam proses pengiriman serta penerimaan pesan yang mudah dipahami. Pola komunikasi keluarga termasuk salah satu faktor penting karena keluarga merupakan unit yang dimana anggotanya memiliki ketergantungan satu sama lain. Pola komunikasi keluarga juga dapat digunakan dalam proses penyelesaian konflik yang ada dalam keluarga. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pola komunikasi yang digunakan pasangan suami istri yang bekerja dalam mengatasi konflik keluarga. Konsep dan teori pendukung dalam penelitian ini yaitu komunikasi, keluarga, pola komunikasi keluarga, dan konflik. penelitian ini menggunakan paradigma konstruktivis, dengan metode penelitian studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan wawancara mendalam dengan narasumber pasangan suami istri yang bekerja. Teknik keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi sumber data. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukan kesimpulan bahwa pola komunikasi yang digunakan pasangan suami-istri yang bekerja dalam mengatasi konflik keluarga dengan menggunakan empat pola komunikasi keluarga yakni pola persamaan (Equality), pola seimbang-terpisah (Balance Split Pattern), pola tak seimbangterpisah (Unbalanced Split Pattern), pola tak monopoli (Monopoly Pattern), dan proses penyelesaian konflik juga dibantu oleh keluarga. Saran dari penelitian ini bagi para pasangan suami istri yang sedang memiliki konflik diharapkan untuk menggunakan berbagai macam pola komunikasi keluarga.
