Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the extent contributions of political connection, financial leverage, liquidity, and profitability influence the occurrence on financial distress. 29 food and beverage manufacturing companies that were listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) between 2020 and 2023 were the subject of the study. Purposive sampling was employed to pick the sample, which ultimately consisted of 24 companies. Multiple linear regression analysis was used to analyze the data using the SPSS version 25. The result of this study indicates that political connection, liquidity, and profitability have a negative effect on financial distress. While the financial leverage shows a positive effect on financial distress. Keywords: Financial Distress, Financial Leverage, Liquidity, Political Connection and Profitability. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis sejauh mana Political Connection, Financial Leverage, likuiditas dan profitabilitas berpengaruh terhadap terjadinya financial distress. Penelitian difokuskan pada 29 manufaktur sub sektor makanan dan minuman yang tercatat di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) tahun 2020-2023 dan sampel diambil melalui proses seleksi menggunakan metode purposive sampling, dengan jumlah akhir sebanyak 24 perusahaan yang menjadi populasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan metode analisis Regresi Linear Berganda, menggunakan program aplikasi SPSS versi 25. Hasil penelitian memperoleh bukti bahwa Political Connection, Likuiditas dan Profitabilitas memberikan pengaruh negatif terhadap terjadinya financial distress, sementara financial leverage menunjukan pengaruh positif terhadap terjadinya financial distress. Kata kunci: Financial distress, Financial Leverage, Likuiditas, Political Connection dan Profitabilitas.
