Abstract

The Textile Museum plays a crucial role in the preservation and development of textile cultural heritage, particularly in Indonesia, which is rich in diverse fabrics and weaving techniques. This museum not only serves as a storage place for collections but also as an educational and research center that informs the public about the history, techniques, and meanings behind each type of textile. In this context, the textile museum is expected to become a platform for interaction between visitors and the collections, as well as to encourage appreciation for local art and culture. Through innovative exhibitions, educational programs, and interactive activities, the museum aims to raise public awareness of the importance of textile preservation as part of cultural identity. Therefore, good interior design is essential to create a pleasant and informative experience for visitors. The research methods used include spatial circulation analysis, case studies of similar museums, and surveys of visitors to identify their needs and preferences. The design results indicate that efficient circulation arrangements and attractive space design can enhance visitor interaction with textile collections. Additionally, special attention is given to accessibility to ensure that the museum is accessible to all, including people with disabilities. Thus, it is hoped that the Jakarta Textile Museum can become an inspiring and inclusive destination for the community. KEYWORDS: Interior circulation, Textile Museum, visitor experience, spatial design, accessibility Museum Tekstil merupakan institusi yang berperan penting dalam pelestarian dan pengembangan warisan budaya tekstil, khususnya di Indonesia yang kaya akan keragaman kain dan teknik tenun. Museum ini tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai tempat penyimpanan koleksi, tetapi juga sebagai pusat edukasi dan penelitian yang mengedukasi masyarakat tentang sejarah, teknik, dan makna di balik setiap jenis tekstil. Dalam konteks ini, museum tekstil diharapkan dapat menjadi wadah interaksi antara pengunjung dan koleksi, serta mendorong apresiasi terhadap seni dan budaya lokal. Melalui pameran yang inovatif, program edukasi, dan kegiatan interaktif, museum ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat akan pentingnya pelestarian tekstil sebagai bagian dari identitas budaya. Oleh karena itu, perancangan interior yang baik sangat diperlukan untuk menciptakan pengalaman yang menyenangkan dan informatif bagi pengunjung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan meliputi analisis sirkulasi ruang, studi kasus museum sejenis, serta survei terhadap pengunjung untuk mengidentifikasi kebutuhan dan preferensi mereka. Hasil perancangan menunjukkan bahwa pengaturan sirkulasi yang efisien dan desain ruang yang menarik dapat meningkatkan interaksi pengunjung dengan koleksi tekstil. Selain itu, perhatian khusus diberikan pada aksesibilitas untuk memastikan bahwa museum dapat diakses oleh semua kalangan, termasuk penyandang disabilitas. Dengan demikian, diharapkan Museum Tekstil Jakarta dapat menjadi destinasi yang inspiratif dan inklusif bagi masyarakat.
