Abstract

A documentary film is a form of audiovisual work that presents documentation of real events based on facts, accurately detailing the events, and containing important information worthy of public knowledge. Therefore, documentaries function as a comprehensive learning medium, combining audio and visual elements to effectively convey a message. This applied final project was created to represent an activity through a compelling storytelling packaged in documentary film format. The film, "Banjarnegara Has Poci, Tegal Has a Name," depicts the daily lives of ceramic artisans in Klampok Village, Banjarnegara, Central Java, who produce high-quality teapots. Through various efforts and innovations, as well as the application of semimodern techniques, the artisans have been able to maintain their existence to this day. The process of making this documentary film consists of three main stages: pre-production, production, and post-production. In this production, the author acted as camera operator responsible for compiling a wish list of shots. Therefore, precise camera setup and the application of appropriate shooting techniques are required to produce visuals that support the development of the storyline in a lively manner. The author recognizes that the effective use of visual techniques will significantly determine the success of conveying the main message to the audience through the documentary "Banjarnegara Punya Poci, Tegal Punya Nama." Keywords : Film Dokumenter, Juru Kamera, Banjarnegara Punya Poci Tegal Punya Nama Film dokumenter adalah bentuk karya audio visual yang menyajikan dokumentasi peristiwa nyata berdasarkan fakta, memuat detail kejadian secara akurat, serta mengandung informasi penting yang layak diketahui oleh masyarakat. Oleh karena itu, film dokumenter memiliki fungsi sebagai media pembelajaran yang menyeluruh, karena menggabungkan elemen audio dan visual untuk menyampaikan pesan secara efektif. Karya tugas akhir aplikatif ini dibuat untuk merepresentasikan suatu aktivitas melalui penyajian cerita yang dikemas secara menarik dalam bentuk film dokumenter. Adapun film berjudul “Banjarnegara Punya Poci, Tegal Punya Nama” mengangkat kehidupan sehari-hari para pengrajin keramik di Desa Klampok, Banjarnegara, Jawa Tengah, dalam memproduksi poci berkualitas. Melalui berbagai upaya dan inovasi, serta penerapan teknik semi modern, para pengrajin mampu mempertahankan eksistensinya hingga kini. Proses pembuatan film dokumenter ini terdiri dari tiga tahapan utama, yaitu pra-produksi, produksi, dan pasca-produksi. Dalam produksi ini, penulis berperan sebagai juru kamera yang bertanggung jawab menyusun wishlist pengambilan gambar. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan penataan kamera serta penerapan teknik pengambilan gambar yang tepat agar dapat menghasilkan visual yang mendukung pengembangan alur cerita secara hidup. Penulis menyadari bahwa penggunaan teknik visual yang efektif akan sangat menentukan keberhasilan dalam menyampaikan pesan utama kepada penonton melalui film dokumenter “Banjarnegara Punya Poci, Tegal Punya Nama”.
