Abstract
This study examines the potential Occupational Safety and Health (OHS) risks in superstructure activities in the Multimedia Nusantara School Building construction project using the HIRARC (Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control) method. The research was conducted qualitatively through literature review, direct field observation, interviews with experts, and questionnaires completed by stakeholders. The identification results indicated 24 OHS risks, which included work behavior, equipment conditions, and environmental variables. Further evaluation revealed that 17 risks were categorized as moderate (moderate) in severity, while 7 risks were assessed as critical (high) and required immediate intervention. The proposed mitigation strategy includes a hierarchy of controls, consisting of technical controls (including the installation of safety fences, the use of stable scaffolding, and safe evacuation routes), administrative controls (regular OHS training, daily briefings, and consistent field inspections), and enforcement of the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety helmets, safety harnesses, protective shoes, and work gloves. This study strengthens the relevance of the HIRARC method as a systematic framework in the identification, assessment, and control of OHS risks in multi-storey construction projects. These findings are expected to enrich OHS risk management practices and contribute to the creation of a safer and more structured construction work environment.Keywords: Risk Analysis, Occupational Safety & Health (OHS), HIRARC Studi ini meneliti potensi risiko Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3) pada aktivitas struktur atas dalam proyek pembangunan Gedung Multimedia Nusantara School dengan menggunakan metode HIRARC (Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control). Penelitian dilakukan secara kualitatif melalui studi literatur, observasi langsung di lapangan, wawancara dengan tenaga ahli, serta pengisian kuesioner oleh para pemangku kepentingan.Hasil identifikasi menunjukkan adanya 24 risiko K3, yang mencakup perilaku kerja, kondisi peralatan, serta variabel lingkungan. Evaluasi lebih lanjut mengungkap bahwa sejumlah 17 risiko dikategorikan dalam tingkat keparahan sedang (medium), sementara 7 risiko dinilai kritis (high) dan membutuhkan intervensi segera. Strategi mitigasi yang diusulkan mengikuti hirarki pengendalian, terdiri atas pengendalian teknis (termasuk pemasangan pagar pengaman, penggunaan scaffolding stabil, serta jalur evakuasi yang aman), pengendalian administratif (pelatihan K3 secara berkala, briefing harian, dan inspeksi lapangan yang konsisten), serta penegakan penggunaan Alat Pelindung Diri (APD) seperti helm keselamatan, safety harness, sepatu pelindung, dan sarung tangan kerja. Penelitian ini memperkuat relevansi metode HIRARC sebagai kerangka sistematis dalam mengidentifikasi, menilai, dan mengendalikan risiko K3 pada proyek konstruksi bertingkat. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat memperkaya praktik manajemen risiko K3 dan berkontribusi kepada penciptaan lingkungan kerja konstruksi yang lebih aman dan terstruktur.
