Abstract
This study aims to analyze the influence of emotional intelligence and empowering leadership on leadership succession during organizational change. This research employs a quantitative method. The research design used is cross-sectional to identify relationships between variables. The research population consists of leaders and potential leaders in organizations undergoing change. The research sample comprises 90 respondents selected using purposive sampling technique. The research instruments used include the ECI (Emotional Competence Inventory) Scale to measure emotional intelligence, the ELQ (Empowering Leadership Questionnaire) Scale to measure empowering leadership, and the Leadership Pipeline theory to measure the effectiveness of leadership succession. The collected data were analyzed using multiple linear regression techniques with the assistance of statistical software (SPSS). The research results show that emotional intelligence has correlation on leadership succession perception (p = 0.000) with a correlation coefficient R=0.819, while empowering leadership shows a non-significant correlation (p = 0.000) with a correlation coefficient R=0.772. Meanwhile, the relationship between Emotional Intelligence and Empowering Leadership obtained a significance value (p = 0.000) and correlation coefficient R=0.793, which means all relationships are significantly accepted. Keywords: Emotional Intelligence, Empowering Leadership, Leadership Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan kecerdasan emosional dan empowering leadership terhadap suksesi kepemimpinan pada masa perubahan organisasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah cross-sectional untuk mengidentifikasi hubungan antar variabel. Populasi penelitian terdiri dari para pemimpin dan calon pemimpin dalam organisasi yang sedang mengalami perubahan. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 90 responden yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan Skala ECI (Emotional Competence Inventory) untuk mengukur kecerdasan emosional, Skala ELQ (Empowering Leadership estionnaire) untuk mengukur empowering leadership, dan teori Leadership Pipeline untuk mengukur efektivitas suksesi kepemimpinan. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis menggunakan teknik korelasional dengan bantuan software statistik (SPSS). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kecerdasan emosional memiliki hubungan signifikan terhadap persepsi suksesi kepemimpinan (p = 0,000) dan koefisensi korelasi R=0,819, sedangkan empowering leadership menunjukkan hubungan yang tidak signifikan (p = 0,000) koefisensi korelasi R=0,772. Sementara pada hubungan Kecerdasan Emosional dan Empowering Leadership mendapatkan nilai signifikansi (p = 0,000) dan koefesiensi korelasi R=0,793, yang berarti semua hubungan diterima dengan signifikan.
