Abstract
Soma+ Magazine Vol. 1: The Way of Self Healing was designed as a visual educational medium that explores self-applied Functional Medicine and Art Therapy. This design was motivated by the lack of public understanding—particularly among Gen-Z—of holistic health approaches that focus not only on symptoms, but also on the root causes of health issues. Using the Design Thinking approach, the author developed a relevant visual strategy and content narrative based on clinical observation, interviews with Dr. Herdy Rizky Susetyo (founder of Soma Plus Clinic), and feedback from the target audience. The result is a 47-page printed magazine that delivers information through a combination of text, illustrations, comics, and documentary photography. The visual concept adopts a modern and minimalist style that reflects the identity of young urban readers. Based on design testing through exhibitions and surveys, the work received positive feedback in terms of aesthetics and clarity of message. This magazine is expected to broaden access to health education and serve as an alternative medium that is both communicative and accessible to younger generations. Keyword: Funtional Medicine, Art Therapy, Education Media, Magazine, Self Healing Majalah Soma+ Magazine Vol. 1: The Way of Self Healing dirancang sebagai media edukasi visual yang membahas Functional Medicine secara mandiri dan Art Therapy.
