Abstract
The growth in the number of vehicles and high traffic loads are one of the main causes of road damage, especially on flexible pavements. This study aims to analyze the level of damage to Jalan Chairil Anwar, Bekasi City using the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) and Surface Distress Index (SDI) methods. The PCI method is used to visually identify the type, severity, and extent of damage, while the SDI evaluates the condition of the road surface based on the severity of damage such as cracks, potholes, and deformation. Data collection was carried out through a visual survey on a 1.1 km road section by identifying the type, severity, and extent of damage in several road segments, then calculating the index value for each method. The results showed an average PCI value of 47, included in the Poor category, while the SDI value of 55 indicates a Moderate condition. This difference in results is due to the PCI calculation calculating many parameters, while the SDI calculation only calculates 3 damages, namely cracks, potholes, and rut depth. From the average results that have been known in the PCI method, the handling is required to patch and repair before the main resurfacing. Grinding and removing damage will extend the life of the resurfacing, Early signs of aging, Treat with routine crack patching. And the average results of the SDI method obtained treatment in the form of Requires Routine Maintenance treatment (P2 Paving, P4 Filling Cracks, P6 Leveling, P5 Patching Potholes). Pertumbuhan jumlah kendaraan dan beban lalu lintas yang tinggi menjadi salah satu penyebab utama kerusakan jalan, khususnya pada perkerasan lentur. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat kerusakan Jalan Chairil Anwar Kota Bekasi menggunakan metode Pavement Condition Index (PCI) dan Surface Distress Index (SDI). Metode PCI digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi jenis, tingkat keparahan, dan luas kerusakan secara visual, sedangkan SDI mengevaluasi kondisi permukaan jalan berdasarkan keparahan kerusakan seperti retak, lubang, dan deformasi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui survei Visual pada ruas jalan sepanjang 1,1 km dengan identifikasi jenis, tingkat keparahan, dan luas kerusakan pada beberapa segmen jalan, kemudian dilakukan perhitungan nilai indeks pada masingmasing metode. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai rata-rata PCI sebesar 47, termasuk dalam kategori Buruk (Poor), sedangkan nilai SDI sebesar 55 menunjukkan kondisi Sedang. Perbedaan hasil ini disebabkan perhitungan PCI menghitungkan banyak parameter, sedangkan perhitungan SDI hanya menghitung 3 kerusakan yaitu retak, lubang, dan kedalaman bekas roda. Dari hasil rata-rata yang sudah di ketahui pada metode PCI didapatkan penanganan berupa Perlu penambalan dan perbaikan sebelum pelapisan ulang utama. Penggilingan dan penghilangan kerusakan akan memperpanjang umur pelapisan ulang, Tanda-tanda awal penuaan, Rawat dengan penambalan retakan rutin. Dan hasil rata-rata metode SDI didapatkan penanganan berupa Memerlukan penanganan Pemeliharaan Rutin (P2 Pengaspalan, P4 Mengisi Retakan, P6 Perataan, P5 Penambalan Lubang).
