Abstract
This study discusses one of the reality shows that has recently attracted public attention, namely "Nana Tour with Seventeen." The program features the journey of the K-pop group Seventeen members along with Producer Nana. One of the successful programs that has drawn significant interest is Nana Tour with SEVENTEEN. This study aims to analyze how K-pop fans interpret the editing techniques used in the program by applying Stuart Hall’s reception analysis, specifically focusing on the dominant, negotiated, and oppositional positions regarding editing aspects such as scene selection, visual rhythm, sound effects, and visual narration. The study employs a qualitative approach using reception analysis methods. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with ten informants who are K-pop fans. The analysis focuses on the meaning attributed to visual and audio editing techniques, such as image transitions and sound effects. The results show that the majority of informants occupy the dominant-hegemonic position, fully accepting the messages conveyed through the editing techniques. Some take a negotiated position by partially accepting the message but interpreting it based on their personal experiences. Meanwhile, the oppositional position is represented by informants who have less attachment to K-pop. Keywords: Editing Techniques, Reality Show, K-pop, Reception Analysis, Encoding/Decoding Theory Penelitian ini membahas Salah satu reality show yang menarik perhatian publik belakangan ini adalah "Nana Tour with Seventeen". Program ini menampilkan perjalanan personel grup K-pop Seventeen bersama dengan Produser Nana. Salah satu program yang berhasil menarik perhatian adalah Nana Tour with SEVENTEEN. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana pecinta K-pop. Memaknai teknik editing dalam program tersebut dengan menggunakan analisis resepsi Stuart Hall. Khususnya dalam posisi dominan, negosiasi, dan oposisi terhadap aspek editing seperti pemilihan adegan, ritme visual, efek suara, dan narasi visual. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis resepsi. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam terhadap sepuluh informan yang merupakan pecinta K-pop. Fokus analisis diarahkan pada pemaknaan terhadap teknik editing visual dan audio, seperti transisi gambar, efek suara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas informan berada pada posisi dominan-hegemonik, menerima pesan yang disampaikan melalui teknik editing secara utuh. Sebagian lain mengambil posisi negosiasi dengan menerima sebagian pesan namun menginterpretasikannya berdasarkan pengalaman pribadi. Sedangkan posisi oposisi muncul dari informan yang kurang memiliki keterikatan dengan Kpop. Kata Kunci: Teknik Editing, Reality Show, K-pop, Analisis Resepsi, Teori Encoding/Decoding.
