Abstract
The rapid growth of metropolitan cities such as Jakarta has driven the need for buildings that are not only multifunctional but also environmentally friendly. One emerging solution is mixed-use buildings with a biophilic architectural approach, which combines hotel and office functions in a single dense area. This approach not only addresses the challenges of limited land and increasing urbanization but also improves the quality of life for residents through the integration of natural elements into building design. Sustainable and biophilic architecture plays a crucial role in reducing the negative impacts of development on the environment, such as increased carbon emissions, reduced green open spaces, and deteriorating air quality. This study aims to develop a design concept for mixed-use high-rise buildings that aligns with sustainability principles and restores the natural connection between humans and nature within the built environment. With the “Re-Natured Building” approach, this design is expected to make a tangible contribution to creating adaptive, ecological, and human-centered urban architecture. Keywords: design, mixed-use building, sustainable, biophilic architecture Pertumbuhan pesat kota metropolitan seperti Jakarta mendorong kebutuhan akan bangunan yang tidak hanya multifungsi, tetapi juga ramah lingkungan. Salah satu solusi yang berkembang adalah bangunan mixed use dengan pendekatan arsitektur biofilik, yang menggabungkan fungsi hotel dan perkantoran dalam satu kawasan padat. Pendekatan ini tidak hanya menjawab tantangan keterbatasan lahan dan meningkatnya urbanisasi, tetapi juga memperbaiki kualitas hidup penghuni melalui integrasi elemen alami dalam desain bangunan. Arsitektur berkelanjutan dan biofilik berperan penting dalam mengurangi dampak negatif pembangunan terhadap lingkungan, seperti peningkatan emisi karbon, berkurangnya ruang terbuka hijau, dan penurunan kualitas udara. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan konsep desain gedung bertingkat mixed use yang selaras dengan prinsip keberlanjutan dan mampu mengembalikan hubungan alami antara manusia dan alam dalam lingkungan binaan. Dengan pendekatan “ReNatured Building”, perancangan ini diharapkan menjadi kontribusi nyata dalam menciptakan arsitektur urban yang adaptif, ekologis, dan berpusat pada kesejahteraan manusia.
