Abstract
Pedestrian comfort is one of the key indicators in assessing the quality of urban infrastructure, particularly in areas with high tourism intensity, such as the Old Town area of Gresik. This study aims to analyze pedestrian comfort levels in relation to the existing condition of sidewalks based on their physical conformity to the Circular Letter of the Ministry of Public Works and Housing No. 18/SE/Db/2023, as well as to evaluate user perceptions using the Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) approach. Field observations were conducted on four main roads in the study area: Kramatlangon Street, KH Zubair Street, AKS Tubun Street, and Basuki Rahmat Street. The research method integrates direct observation, questionnaire surveys, and both descriptive and inferential statistical analysis using SPSS software. The results show that several sidewalk elements—such as shading and safety barriers— do not fully meet technical standards, which affects the overall comfort level for pedestrians. The findings, based on the IPA method, indicate an average satisfaction level of 93.84%, while the evaluation using Level of Service (LOS) classification shows an average satisfaction level rated as "A." These results underscore the importance of providing integrated, safe, and standard-compliant pedestrian facilities to support sustainable mobility and enhance user comfort in public spaces. Keywords: pedestrian comfort, sidewalks, Old Town of Gresik, Importance Performance Analysis, Level of Service Kenyamanan pejalan kaki merupakan salah satu indikator utama dalam menilai kualitas infrastruktur kawasan perkotaan, terutama pada wilayah dengan intensitas wisata yang tinggi seperti Kawasan Kota Tua Gresik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat kenyamanan pejalan kaki terhadap kondisi eksisting trotoar berdasarkan kesesuaian fisik terhadap Surat Edaran Menteri PUPR No. 18/SE/Db/2023 serta mengevaluasi persepsi pengguna melalui pendekatan Importance Performance Analysis (IPA). Dari hasil pengamatan pada lokasi penelitian mencakup empat ruas jalan utama di kawasan tersebut: Jalan Kramatlangon, KH Zubair, AKS Tubun, dan Basuki Rahmat. Metode penelitian menggabungkan pengamatan langsung, survei kuisioner, dan analisis statistik deskriptif dan inferensial dengan bantuan perangkat lunak SPSS. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa beberapa elemen trotoar seperti peneduh, dan pagar pengaman belum sepenuhnya memenuhi standar teknis, yang berdampak pada penurunan tingkat kenyamanan pejalan kaki. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yang dilakukan dengan metode IPA memnujukan kepuasan rata-rata sebesar 93,84% dan penilaian bedasarkan tingkat pelayanan (LOS) memnujukan nilai kepuasan rata-rata A. Hal ini menegaskan pentingnya penyediaan fasilitas pejalan kaki yang terintegrasi, aman, dan sesuai standar demi mendukung mobilitas berkelanjutan serta kenyamanan pengguna ruang publik.
