Abstract
Advances in construction pose challenges in project control related to cost, time Advances in construction pose challenges in project control related to cost, time and quality. Project delays, often caused by poor planning, delayed material procurement and external conditions, can have significant negative impacts, such as increased costs and poor project reputation. In the construction of the transformer room in Lampung, the existing obstacles are the access road and design layout changes on the road and drainage that hamper the work of making the hallway. To overcome these problems, the Time Cost Trade Off (TCTO) method was used as a solution to accelerate project completion without sacrificing quality. The TCTO method allows time acceleration through the addition of resources, such as additional labor and overtime working hours, while still optimally considering the additional costs. With this approach, the project is expected to be completed faster while minimizing the risk of cost overruns due to time acceleration. The results of the study showed that adding three hours of overtime accelerated the duration to 91 calendar days (22.58%) with a cost increase of 0.40%. In the second alternative, adding 10% (1 worker) to each job accelerated the project duration to 81 calendar days (31.36%) with a cost increase of around 0.12%. The method of adding labor is more effective because the project duration is shorter and the cost increase is smaller compared to overtime.
