Abstract
The design of visual identity plays a strategic role in building a company's image and credibility, particularly in the increasingly competitive technology sector. Codenito, a software development and IT consulting company established in 2023, has experienced significant project growth but still lacks a strong visual identity. The previous logo was created using free design applications, which poses risks of lacking originality and potential copyright infringement. Through the Design Thinking approach, a redesign of Codenito's visual identity was carried out, emphasizing a character that is professional, secure, and modern. The new logo incorporates a detective symbol representing security and confidentiality, combined with a structured collar shape that symbolizes full-stack development as a hallmark of the programming world. The visual identity is strengthened by a monochrome color palette and the use of the Cygre typeface, creating an elegant and professional impression. This design is also supported by the creation of a Graphic Standard Manual (GSM) as a guideline for the consistent application of visual identity across various media. The GSM includes regulations on logo usage, color palettes, typography, supergraphics, as well as applications across identity media, digital promotions, and merchandise. The presence of the GSM ensures that every visual implementation of Codenito aligns with the company's intended character. Design testing through exhibitions and audience surveys indicates that the new identity is perceived as strong, recognizable, and aligned with Codenito’s character. However, feedback highlighted issues with logo readability at small sizes and the need for a tagline to reinforce the verbal identity. This design effort is expected to strengthen Codenito’s position in the technology industry with a more mature, communicative, and professional visual identity Keywords: Logo, Visual Identity, Branding, Codenito, Logo Design Perancangan identitas visual memiliki peran strategis dalam membangun citra dan kredibilitas perusahaan, khususnya di bidang teknologi yang semakin kompetitif. Codenito, perusahaan pengembangan software dan konsultan IT yang berdiri sejak 2023, mengalami pertumbuhan proyek yang signifikan namun belum memiliki identitas visual yang kuat. Logo sebelumnya dibuat menggunakan aplikasi gratis, sehingga menimbulkan risiko kurangnya orisinalitas dan potensi pelanggaran hak cipta. Melalui pendekatan Design Thinking, dilakukan perancangan ulang identitas visual Codenito dengan mengusung karakter profesional, aman, dan modern. Logo baru menggabungkan simbol detektif sebagai representasi keamanan dan kerahasiaan, serta kerah mantel yang membentuk simbol fullstack development sebagai ciri khas dunia pemrograman. Identitas visual diperkuat dengan palet warna monokrom dan tipografi Cygre untuk menciptakan kesan elegan dan profesional. Perancangan ini juga dilengkapi dengan penyusunan Graphic Standard Manual (GSM) sebagai pedoman penerapan identitas visual secara konsisten di berbagai media. GSM mencakup aturan penggunaan logo, palet warna, tipografi, supergrafis, serta aplikasi pada media identitas, promosi digital, dan merchandise. Kehadiran GSM memastikan setiap implementasi visual Codenito selaras dengan karakter perusahaan yang diusung. Uji desain melalui pameran dan survei audiens menunjukkan bahwa identitas baru ini dinilai kuat, mudah dikenali, dan sesuai dengan karakter Codenito. Namun, terdapat masukan terkait keterbacaan logo dalam ukuran kecil dan kebutuhan akan tagline sebagai penguat identitas verbal. Perancangan ini diharapkan mampu memperkuat posisi Codenito di industri teknologi dengan identitas visual yang lebih matang, komunikatif, dan profesional.
