Abstract
This study examines types of humor in the Lapor Pak! episode “Rigen ‘Habis’ Dikerjain Pasukin, Marion Jola Ngakak Terus!” through Roland Barthes' semiotic theory. Humor is explored as a tool for delivering social messages in a playful manner. The research aims to identify verbal, visual, and narrative signs, analyze their denotative and connotative meanings, and explore cinematic and artistic aspects that support humor representation. A qualitative descriptive-interpretative method was applied. Data was gathered through direct observation of the YouTube episode and literature review on humor and semiotics. The research findings show that the humor in the show is formed through verbal, visual, and symbolic play that reflects various forms of social criticism and cultural stereotypes. Verbal humor appears in the form of puns and mispronunciations, while visual humor is reinforced through expressions, props, and body gestures that stigmatize certain characters. Absurd humor and satire are used as tools to voice dissatisfaction with the social system, including criticism of bureaucracy, economic inequality, and gender expectations. The visual setting, resembling a police interrogation room, is used as a symbolic stage to humorously play with authority and power structures. Using Roland Barthes's semiotic approach, these signs are analyzed to produce denotative, connotative, and cultural mythical meanings that play a significant role in shaping audience perceptions. Keywords : Humor, Semiotika Roland Barthes, Lapor Pak!, Representation of Mass Communication Penelitian ini membahas jenis humor dalam episode Lapor Pak! berjudul “Rigen ‘Habis’ Dikerjain Pasukin, Marion Jola Ngakak Terus!” menggunakan pendekatan semiotika Roland Barthes. Humor dipilih karena memuat pesan sosial yang disampaikan dengan gaya jenaka. Penelitian bertujuan mengidentifikasi tanda-tanda verbal, visual, dan naratif yang membentuk humor, serta menafsirkan makna denotatif dan konotatifnya. Elemen sinematik dan artistik juga dianalisis sebagai pendukung representasi humor. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif-interpretatif. Data diperoleh dari observasi episode di YouTube serta kajian pustaka terkait teori humor dan semiotika. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa humor dalam tayangan tersebut dibentuk melalui permainan verbal, visual, dan simbolik yang mencerminkan berbagai bentuk Jenis Humor dan stereotipe budaya. Humor verbal muncul dalam bentuk plesetan dan kesalahan ucapan, sedangkan humor visual diperkuat melalui ekspresi, properti, dan gestur tubuh yang menstigmatisasi karakter tertentu. Humor absurd dan satire digunakan sebagai alat untuk menyuarakan ketidakpuasan terhadap sistem sosial, termasuk kritik terhadap birokrasi, kesenjangan ekonomi, dan ekspektasi gender. Setting visual menyerupai ruang interogasi polisi digunakan sebagai panggung simbolik untuk mempermainkan otoritas dan struktur kekuasaan secara jenaka. Melalui pendekatan semiotika Roland Barthes, tanda-tanda tersebut dianalisis hingga menghasilkan makna denotatif, konotatif, dan mitos budaya yang berperan penting dalam membentuk persepsi penonton.
