Abstract
Untuk mengatasi kesenjangan pembangunan, pemerintah mendorong peran aktif sektor swasta melalui program Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Meski banyak perusahaan telah menjalankan program sosial, dokumentasi dan publikasi kegiatan tersebut masih belum optimal. Sementara itu, kemajuan teknologi informasi dan media sosial mendorong tumbuhnya jurnalisme warga sebagai sarana partisipatif dalam menyebarluaskan informasi sosial secara lebih inklusif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi pengalaman Relawan Dharma Wanita Tzu Chi Cabang Sinar Mas dalam memproduksi dan menyebarluaskan konten digital mengenai aktivitas sosial yang dilakukan di lingkungan Sinar Mas Agribusiness and Food. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode fenomenologi Alfred Schutz, penelitian ini menelaah motif tindakan relawan melalui konsep because motive dan in order to motive, serta proses tipifikasi yang mencerminkan makna subjektif dari pengalaman mereka. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam terhadap enam informan yang tersebar di beberapa wilayah Perkebunan Sinar Mas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa latar belakang sosial, budaya, pendidikan, serta keterbatasan geografis dan teknologi menjadi faktor yang memengaruhi dinamika publikasi digital oleh para relawan. Meskipun menghadapi beragam tantangan, relawan menunjukkan dedikasi tinggi dalam menjalankan publikasi sebagai bentuk partisipasi sosial dan misi kemanusiaan. Penelitian ini menghasilkan tiga jenis tipifikasi, yaitu Pejuang, Pembelajar, dan Panggilan Hati. Penelitian ini berkontribusi dalam memperkaya pemahaman tentang praktik jurnalisme warga dalam konteks organisasi nirlaba, serta menawarkan implikasi strategis untuk penguatan komunikasi digital berbasis komunitas. To address development disparities, the government encourages active participation from the private sector through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs. Although many companies have implemented social initiatives, the documentation and public dissemination of these activities remain suboptimal. Meanwhile, advances in information technology and social media have fostered the rise of citizen journalism as a participatory medium for sharing social information more inclusively. This study aims to explore the experiences of Dharma Wanita volunteers from the Tzu Chi Sinar Mas Branch in producing and disseminating digital content related to social activities within Sinar Mas Agribusiness and Food. Using a qualitative approach and Alfred Schutz's phenomenological method, this research examines the volunteers' motives through the concepts of "because motive" and "in order to motive," as well as typification processes that reflect the subjective meaning of their experiences. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with six informants from various Sinar Mas plantation areas. The findings reveal that social, cultural, and educational backgrounds, along with geographical and technological limitations, significantly influence the dynamics of digital publication by the volunteers. Despite these challenges, the volunteers demonstrate strong dedication in carrying out publication efforts as a form of social participation and humanitarian mission. The study identifies three types of typifications: the Fighter (Pejuang), the Learner (Pembelajar), and the Called (Panggilan Hati). This research contributes to the growing understanding of citizen journalism practices in nonprofit contexts and offers strategic implications for strengthening community-based digital communication.
