Abstract
This research aims to design an Eco Centre that functions as a recycling gallery and an educational facility for the public, emphasizing the importance of waste management and the application of sustainability principles. The main concept of this design is to create a space that connects visitors directly with the recycling process while providing an understanding of the environmental impact of waste. In this design, eco-friendly materials such as recycled glass bottles and woven plastic are used to create an aesthetic that prioritizes sustainability. Additionally, an open and flexible circulation design is expected to facilitate interaction between visitors and the exhibition space, as well as other activities. By employing a neo-vernacular design approach that combines traditional and modern elements, the Eco Centre is envisioned to become a model for educational and exhibition centers that highlight the crucial role of the community in waste management and environmental sustainability. Precedent studies and site analysis were conducted to ensure that the design aligns with the local context, encompassing environmental, cultural, and social aspects. Keywords: Galery, Eco, Recylce Perancangan ini bertujuan untuk merancang sebuah Eco Centre yang berfungsi sebagai galeri daur ulang sampah sekaligus sebagai tempat edukasi bagi masyarakat mengenai pentingnya pengelolaan sampah dan penerapan prinsip keberlanjutan. Konsep utama dari perancangan ini adalah menciptakan sebuah ruang yang menghubungkan pengunjung dengan proses daur ulang sampah secara langsung, sekaligus memberikan pemahaman tentang dampak sampah terhadap lingkungan. Dalam desain ini, material-material ramah lingkungan, seperti botol kaca daur ulang dan plastik anyaman, digunakan untuk menciptakan estetika yang mengedepankan keberlanjutan. Selain itu, desain sirkulasi yang terbuka dan fleksibel diharapkan dapat memfasilitasi interaksi antara pengunjung dengan ruang pameran dan aktivitas lainnya. Dengan pendekatan desain neovernakular yang menggabungkan elemen-elemen tradisional dan modern, Eco Centre diharapkan dapat menjadi model bagi pusat edukasi dan pameran yang mengedepankan pentingnya peran masyarakat dalam pengelolaan sampah serta keberlanjutan lingkungan. Studi preseden dan analisis site dilakukan untuk memastikan desain ini sesuai dengan konteks lokal, baik dari segi lingkungan, budaya, maupun sosial. Kata Kunci: Galeri, Eco, Daur Ulang
