Abstract
PT Tasela Energy Mandiri is a distributor of 3 kg LPG gas in Tasikmalaya Regency that faces issues in inventory planning. This results in product stockpiling or shortages, increased storage costs, and suboptimal distribution. This study aims to select a demand forecasting method for 3 kg LPG gas and plan the distribution schedule using the Distribution Requirement Planning (DRP) method. Historical data is used as the basis for analysis with forecasting methods such as linear, moving average, single exponential smoothing, and constant. Of the four methods, linear method is chosen due to its lowest error value. The DRP method is analyzed using lot sizing techniques (LFL, EOQ, and POQ), with the LFL method selected as it provides the highest cost efficiency with the lowest total distribution cost. The results show that the LFL method is able to minimize inventory costs compared to the company’s current method. This study provides guidance for more efficient and measured 3 kg LPG gas distribution planning. Keywords: Distribution, DRP, Lot-for-Lot, 3 kg LPG gas. PT Tasela Energy Mandiri adalah agen distribusi gas LPG 3 kg di Kabupaten Tasikmalaya yang menghadapi masalah dalam perencanaan persediaan. Hal ini menyebabkan penumpukan atau kekurangan produk, kenaikan biaya penyimpanan, serta distribusi yang tidak optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memilih metode peramalan permintaan gas LPG 3 kg dan merencanakan jadwal distribusi menggunakan metode Distribution Requirement Planning (DRP). Data historis digunakan sebagai dasar analisis dengan metode peramalan linear, moving average, single exponential smoothing, dan konstan. Dari keempat metode, metode linear dipilih karena memiliki nilai kesalahan terkecil. Metode DRP dianalisis menggunakan teknik lot sizing (LFL, EOQ, dan POQ), di mana metode LFL dipilih karena menghasilkan efisiensi biaya tertinggi dengan total biaya distribusi terendah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode LFL mampu meminimalkan biaya persediaan dibandingkan metode perusahaan saat ini. Penelitian ini memberikan panduan dalam perencanaan distribusi LPG 3 kg secara lebih efisien dan terukur. Kata Kunci: Distribusi, DRP, Lot-for-Lot, gas LPG 3 kg
