Abstract
The type of audiovisual media referred to as film or video consists of moving images that form a story. Films are also made with the intention of conveying a specific message from their creators. In addition, the film industry is used to convey and represent their symbols and culture through filmmaking, which is a representation of human thoughts, ideas, concepts, and feelings visualized in film. To meet the demand for content that is violent, horrific, and pornographic, films have become more unrestricted. In the midst of shifting social norms, film remains an effective tool for disseminating information to the general public. In making this documentary film, the writer goes through several stages of production, such as pre-production, production up to post production. Each film making process has a different specification. During the production of this documentary, the author used several supporting tools such as cameras, lenses, tripods, lighting, and audio mic. The cameraman also applied the multi-camera technique as a benchmark in the production process, to facilitate the shooting of images, as well as pointing the imaginary lines in the use of these techniques. The result of this final project is presented in the format of a documentary film, as it aims to provide the real facts without any manipulation, thereby telling the story of the journey of the Desa Bestari community, which is engaged in waste processing and the production of products based on Aloe Vera. The writer gained a wealth of knowledge and new experiences about how the process of producing a documentary film works. Especially regarding the techniques of shooting (composition, framing, lens movement, and camera movement) that impact the information that will be conveyed to the audience. Keywords : Film, Documentary Film, Cameraman, Multi Camera, Desa Bestari Jenis media audiovisual yang disebut film atau video terdiri dari gambar bergerak yang membentuk suatu cerita. Film juga dibuat dengan tujuan untuk menyampaikan pesan tertentu dari pembuatnya. Selain itu, industri film digunakan untuk menyampaikan dan merepresentasikan simbol dan budaya mereka melalui pembuatan film, yang merupakan representasi dari pemikiran, ide, konsep, dan peresaan manusia yang divisualisasikan dalam film. Untuk memenuhi permintaan untuk sajian yang berbau kekerasan, mengerikan, dan pornografi, film menjadi lebih bebas. Di tengah pergeseran norma sosial, film tetap menjadi alat yang efektif untuk menyebarkan informasi kepada khalayak umum. Dalam pembuatan film dokumenter ini, penulis melalui beberapa tahapan produksi, seperti pra-produksi, produksi sampai pasca produksi. Setiap proses pembuatan film tersebut memiliki spesifikasi yang berbeda-beda. Saat produksi film dokumenter ini penulis menggunakan beberapa alat pendukung seperti kamera, lensa, tripod, lighting, dan mic audio. Juru kamera juga menerapkan teknik multi camera sebagai acuan pada saat proses produksi, agar memudahkan saat pengambilan gambar, serta menerapak garis imajiner dalam penggunaan teknik pengambilan gambar tersebut. Hasil karya tugas akhir ini dibuat dalam format film dokumenter, karena ingin memberikan fakta sebenarnya tanpa adanya rekayasa, sehingga mampu menceritakan kisah perjalan dari komunitas Desa Bestari yang bergerak dibidang pengolahan sampah hingga produksi olahan berbahan dasar Lidah Buaya. Penulis mendapatkan banyak sekali ilmu dan pengalaman baru tentang bagaimana suatu proses pembuatan film dokumenter itu di produksi. Terutama mengenai teknik pengambilan gambar (komposisi, framing, pergerakan lensa, dan pergerakan kamera) yang berdampak pada informasi yang akan diberikan pada penontonnya.
