Abstract
The circumstances surrounding the significance of research on how crime is depicted in films, particularly "Serigala Terakhir 2." Films frequently have a significant impact on society and can effectively convey messages. The purpose of this study is to comprehend how films portray crime, with an emphasis on how these messages affect the audience. various theories and previous research that pertain to the issue of how crime is depicted in film and media. The theory of representation in a sociological context and semiotics, particularly Charles Sanders Peirce's theory, are two of the main theories discussed. Case studies from other films with similar themes are also discussed in this chapter, providing a solid theoretical foundation for this study's analysis. A qualitative approach is used in this study, which focuses on how media representation shapes reality. Through direct observation and semiotic analysis of the movie "Serigala Terakhir 2," data were gathered. The semiotic analysis method employed by Charles Sanders Peirce enables researchers to describe the film's signs and meanings. Threats, robberies, and fights are just some of the types of criminal behavior highlighted in the analysis of how the film The Last Wolf 2 depicts them. Semiotic theory is used to analyze these. The audience's perception of crime and the potential social consequences of such representations are also discussed. Keadaan yang melatarbelakangi pentingnya penelitian tentang bagaimana kejahatan digambarkan dalam film, khususnya "Serigala Terakhir 2." Film sering kali memiliki dampak yang signifikan terhadap masyarakat dan dapat menyampaikan pesan secara efektif. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memahami bagaimana film menggambarkan kejahatan, dengan penekanan pada bagaimana pesan-pesan ini memengaruhi penonton. Berbagai teori dan penelitian sebelumnya yang berkaitan dengan isu tentang bagaimana kejahatan digambarkan dalam film dan media. Teori representasi dalam konteks sosiologis dan semiotika, khususnya teori Charles Sanders Peirce, adalah dua teori utama yang dibahas. Studi kasus dari film-film lain dengan tema serupa juga dibahas dalam bab ini, yang memberikan landasan teori yang kuat untuk analisis penelitian ini. Pendekatan kualitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini, yang berfokus pada bagaimana representasi media membentuk realitas. Melalui pengamatan langsung dan analisis semiotik terhadap film "Serigala Terakhir 2," data dikumpulkan. Metode analisis semiotik yang digunakan oleh Charles Sanders Peirce memungkinkan peneliti untuk menggambarkan tanda dan makna film tersebut.. Hasil analisis terhadap representasi kriminalitas dalam film Serigala Terakhir 2. Beberapa bentuk kriminalitas seperti pengancaman, penodongan, dan perkelahian dipaparkan dan dianalisis berdasarkan teori semiotika. Pembahasan juga mencakup bagaimana adegan-adegan tersebut mempengaruhi persepsi penonton tentang kriminalitas, serta dampak sosial yang mungkin timbul dari representasi tersebut.
