Abstract

Pembinaan mantan narapidana teroris merupakan salah satu upaya penting dalam mencegah tindakan terorisme di masa depan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pola komunikasi yang digunakan dalam pembinaan mantan narapidana teroris di Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Cirebon. Pola komunikasi yang efektif diharapkan dapat mendukung proses rehabilitasi dan reintegrasi sosial mantan narapidana teroris sehingga mereka dapat kembali menjadi bagian masyarakat yang produktif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif deskriftif kualitatif.. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan petugas pembinaan, mantan narapidana teroris, dan ahli komunikasi. Selain itu, observasi langsung dan dokumentasi juga dilakukan untuk memperkaya data penelitian. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis tematik untuk mengidentifikasi pola-pola komunikasi yang muncul dalam proses pembinaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pola komunikasi dalam pembinaan mantan narapidana teroris di Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Cirebon mencakup beberapa aspek penting, antara lain komunikasi interpersonal yang berbasis empati, penggunaan pendekatan persuasif dalam dialog, serta integrasi komunikasi verbal dan non-verbal. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pola komunikasi yang berbasis empati dan persuasif memainkan peran penting dalam keberhasilan pembinaan mantan narapidana teroris. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan peningkatan kompetensi komunikasi bagi petugas pembinaan serta penyediaan sumber daya yang memadai untuk mendukung program pembinaan secara berkelanjutan The development of former terrorist convicts is an important effort to prevent acts of terrorism in the future. This research aims to analyze the communication patterns used in coaching former terrorist convicts at the Cirebon Penitentiary. It is hoped that effective communication patterns can support the rehabilitation and social reintegration process of former terrorist convicts so that they can become productive members of society again. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive qualitative method. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with guidance officers, former terrorist convicts, and communications experts. Apart from that, direct observation and documentation were also carried out to enrich the research data. The data obtained was analyzed using thematic analysis to identify communication patterns that emerged in the coaching process. The research results show that communication patterns in coaching former terrorist prisoners at the Cirebon Penitentiary include several important aspects, including empathy-based interpersonal communication, the use of a persuasive approach in dialogue, and the integration of verbal and non-verbal communication. This research concludes that communication patterns based on empathy and persuasion play an important role in the success of coaching former terrorist convicts. Therefore, it is necessary to increase communication competence for coaching officers as well as providing adequate resources to support the coaching program on an ongoing basis.
