Abstract
With the development of information technology today, the internet or new media no longer has space and time limits for searching for information and communicating. One of them is YouTube, on YouTube there is a lot of content or channels that are very useful for the world of education, one of which is the Artodipro YouTube channel, the content is in the form of tutorials or information about editing. Therefore, the aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of video editing tutorials on YouTube Artodipro on interest in learning editing for students at SMKN 42 Jakarta, Department of Arts and Creative Industries. The use of the uses and gratifications theory is in accordance with what the researcher wants to get in this research, namely wanting to see whether the respondent is active and his media use is goal-oriented, finding out the respondent's needs and goals in using the media. The research used is quantitative research. The results of this research are that there is an influence on the effectiveness of video editing tutorials on Youtube Artodipro on interest in learning editing for students at SMKN 42 Jakarta, majoring in Arts and Creative Industries. What is shown by the correlation results between variable (X) and variable (Y) is that it gets a score of 0.963 (very strong). And the coefficient of determination shows that the variable effectiveness of video tutorial editing has an influence of 92.8% on interest in learning. Dengan berkembangnya teknologi informasi saat ini, internet atau new media tidak lagi memiliki batas ruang dan waktu untuk mencari informasi dan berkomunikasi. Salah satunya yaitu youtube, di youtube banyak konten atau channel yang sangat bermanfaat bagi ranah pendidikan, salah satunya channel youtube Artodipro, isi kontenya berupa tutorial atau informasi mengenai editing. Oleh karena itu, tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui efektivitas video tutorial editing di youtube Artodipro terhadap minat belajar editing bagi pelajar SMKN 42 Jakarta Jurusan Seni dan Industri Kreatif. Penggunaan teori uses and gratifications sudah sesuai dengan apa yang peneliti ingin dapatkan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu ingin melihat apakah responden aktif dan penggunaan medianya berorientasi pada tujuannya, mencari tahu kebutuhan dan tujuan responden dalam menggunakan media. Penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian Kuantitatif. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu terdapat pengaruh Efektivitas video tutorial editing di Youtube Artodipro terhadap minat belajar editing bagi Pelajar SMKN 42 Jakarta Jurusan Seni dan Industri Kreatif. Yang ditunjukan dengan hasil korelasi antara variabel (X) dengan variabel (Y) mendapatkan skor sebesar 0,963 (sangat kuat). Dan koefisien determinasi menunjukan bahwa variabel Efektivitas video tutorial editing memiliki pengaruh sebesar 92,8% terhadap minat belajar.
