Abstract

Fashion often reflects culture, social values, trends, and individual or group identity. It can also be a large industry involving the design, production, marketing, and sale of clothing and accessories. Apart from that, fashion can also be a means to express oneself, celebrate uniqueness, and inspire creativity. However, the increasing number of clothing production in the fashion industry is in line with the direction of increasing waste produced from the production process in the industry. Apart from the current increase in fashion waste, in Indonesia today fashion styles are increasingly entering Western culture which dominates all aspects. So in this design, we apply the Zero Waste principle by incorporating cultural elements into the design which makes this design maximize cuts and display beautiful traditional fabrics. Keywords: Waste, Application of Zero waste, traditional fabrics Fashion sering kali mencerminkan budaya, nilai-nilai sosial, tren, dan identitas individu atau kelompok. Hal ini juga dapat menjadi industri besar yang melibatkan desain, produksi, pemasaran, dan penjualan pakaian dan aksesori. Selain itu, fashion juga bisa menjadi sarana untuk mengekspresikan diri, merayakan keunikan, dan menginspirasi kreativitas. Namun dengan meningkatannya angka produksi busana pada industri fashion sejalan dengan arah peningkatan limbah yang dihasilkan dari proses produksi di industry. Selain terjadinya peningkatan limbah fashion saat ini, di Indonesia untuk gaya – gaya fashion saat ini semakin kesini sudah semakin memasuki kebudayaan Barat yang mendominanisasi segala aspek. Maka dalam perancangan ini menerapkan prinsip Zero Waste dengan memasukan unsur budaya kedalam perancangan yang menjadikan perancangan ini dapat memaksimalakan potongan serta menampilkan kain tradisional yang indah.
