Abstract
In the context of global competition in education, the Government strives to enhance the quality of education and construct educational buildings, particularly in Vocational High Schools (SMK). Implementing a project requires various working equipment to support its progress, and one of them is the use of heavy machinery. This research focuses on two types of heavy machinery: crawler crane and tower crane. The objective of this study is to provide technical justification and considerations for companies in determining the type of heavy machinery to be used. The necessary data for this comparative analysis includes primary data obtained from observing the cycle times of heavy machinery in the field. Additionally, secondary data, such as project implementation documents, are required to support the data processing. After collecting the necessary data, an analysis is conducted, which includes Project Unit Price Analysis (AHSP) and the analysis of the cycle times of both types of machinery. This analysis reveals the productivity of these heavy machinery types. Subsequently, a cost and implementation time comparison is made between crawler crane and tower crane. This research serves as a valuable reference for companies in their decisionmaking process regarding the selection of appropriate heavy machinery for similar construction projects. Keywords : Cost; Time; Productivity; Crawler Crane; Tower Crane; Dalam rangka persaingan global di bidang pendidikan, Pemerintah berupaya meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan dan membangun gedung-gedung pendidikan khususnya di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK). Dalam pelaksanaan suatu proyek tentu diperlukan beragam peralatan kerja untuk menunjang berjalannya suatu proyek, salah satunya adalah penggunaan alat berat. Ada 2 jenis alat berat yang dijadikan obyek pada penelitian ini yaitu crawler crane dan tower crane. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjadi justifikasi teknis dan menjadi bahan pertimbangan bagi perusahaan dalam menentukan jenis alat berat yang akan digunakan. Data – data yang diperlukan dalam proses analisis perbandingan ini adalah, data primer yang berupa hasil pengamatan siklus waktu alat berat di lapangan, selain itu diperlukan juga data sekunder yang berupa dokumen pelaksanaan proyek sebagai data pendukung dalam pengolahan data. Setelah mendapatkan data yang dibutuhkan kemudian dilakukan analisis data yang meliputi Analisis Harga Satuan Proyek (AHSP), analisis siklus waktu dari kedua jenis alat tersebut sehingga akan diketahui produktivitas dari kedua alat berat tersebut. Selanjutnya dibuat perbandingan biaya dan waktu pelaksanaan dengan crawler crane dan tower crane. Kata Kunci : Alat Berat; Crawler Crane; Tower Crane; Produktivitas;
