Abstract
Films are aesthetic works and information tools that have entertaining qualities and can be a means of education for those who watch them, and films can be used as a medium to disseminate cultural values. Indonesian films in recent years have carried various family concepts, ranging from family harmony, to concepts such as depicting conflicts that occur in dysfunctional families. The family theme contains family conflict. The film "Ali and Ratu Ratu Queens" (2021) is an Indonesian film that tells about careers, regrets and misunderstandings. This research aims to represent family conflict in the film Ali and Ratu Ratu Queens. This research uses qualitative methods with Charles Sanders Peirce's semiotic analysis approach. Peirce describes three elements of the triadic model in the form of sign, object, and interpretant which includes devices in the form of icons, indexes, and symbols. The scenes that are the object of this research are in the form of visual speech, namely scenes, shots and dialogues which contain the forms and factors of family conflict in the film Ali and Ratu Ratu Queens. Based on the research results, it was found that there were four scenes of conflict that occurred in the family, namely: (1) conflict between father and child; (2) Conflict between husband and wife; (3) conflict between children and extended family; (4) conflict between mother and child. There are four factors that cause conflict. From scenes with stills containing signs of the manifestation of a family conflict experienced by film actors through the actors' facial expressions and expressions, dialogue between characters, to the body gestures of the film characters Ali and Ratu Ratu Queens. Keywords: Film Ali and Ratu-Ratu Queens, Family Conflict, Representation, Peirce's Semiotic Film merupakan karya estetika dan alat informasi yang memiliki sifat penghibur dan dapat menjadi sarana edukasi bagi penikmatnya serta film dapat digunakan sebagai media untuk menyebarluaskan nilai-nilai kebudayaan. Film Indonesia beberapa tahun ini mengusung berbagai konsep kekeluargaan, mulai dari keharmonisan keuarga, hingga mengusung konsep seperti gambaran konflik yang terjadi pada keuarga disfungsional. Tema kekeluargaan yang terdapat konflik keluarga didalamnya. Film “Ali dan Ratu Ratu Queens” (2021) merupakan film Indonesia yang menceritakan tentang karier, penyesalan, dan kesalahpahaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merepresentasikan konflik keluarga dalam film Ali dan Ratu Ratu Queens. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan analisis semiotika Charles Sanders Peirce. Peirce menjabarkan tiga unsur dari triadik model berupa sign, object, dan interpretant yang didalamnya memiliki perangkat berupa ikon, indeks, dan simbol. Adegan yang menjadi objek penelitian ini adalah berupa tuturan visual yaitu scene, shot, dan dialog yang mengandung bentuk dan faktor terjadinya konflik keluarga dalam film Ali dan Ratu Ratu Queens. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa terdapat empat adegan konflik yang terjadi dalam keluarga, yaitu: (1) konflik antar ayah dan anak; (2) Konflik antar pasangan suami istri; (3) konflik antar anak dan keluarga besar; (4) konflik antar ibu dan anak. Terdapat empat faktor terjadinya konflik. Dari adegan dengan potongan gambar yang berisi tanda-tanda perwujudan sebuah konflik keluarga yang dialami oleh pemeran film melalui mimik wajah maupun ekspresi aktor, dialog antar tokoh, hingga gestur tubuh para tokoh film Ali dan Ratu Ratu Queens.
